Kittens are characterised by :
- High energy needs. A kitten needs two to three times as much animal protein, fat and energy than an adult cat for smooth growth.
- A markedly fragile digestion.
- A fragile immune system. Maternally-transmitted immunity disappears progressively, before the kitten’s own defences are working properly.
