Vet Cat
Sterilised and non-sterilised cats

The nutritional needs of cats which are sterilised are very different from those of cats which are not sterilised.
In collaboration with European and American researchers, veterinary nutritionists from Royal Canin’s Research team have developed a precise nutritional approach which enables VET CAT to respond exactly to the needs of each cat.
For each period of its life, from birth to old age, VET CAT offers an ideal solution, with balanced foods for kittens, pregnant and lactating cats, adult cats (sterilised or not), and older cats.

Castrated males have a higher risk of obesity or diabetes than sterilised females.
The length of exposure to the risk of calculi differs according to the sex of the cat.
Throughout their lives, cats are exposed to oral-dental infections.
With age, the immune system declines and the risk of kidney failure increases.

The following four Sterilisation – Castration products are recommended :
  • YOUNG FEMALE : sterilised cat from surgery to age of seven years
  • YOUNG MALE : castrated cat from surgery to age of four years
  • MATURE : adult sterilised cat (male or female) from 4/7 years to 10 years old
  • SENIOR : adult sterilised cat (male or female) aged over 10 years
