The AKC National Championship presented by Royal Canin has drawn record entry numbers in its 16 [th] year. An entry of 4,710 dogs will compete for the title of National Champion on December 17 and 18, 2016 in Orlando, Florida. 

Canine Extravaganza, presented by the American Kennel Club and Royal Canin, returns to Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center on December 17th and 18th. This two-day event, the nation’s largest celebration of dogs, allows attendees to meet and play with over 150 dog breeds at AKC Meet the Breeds. This interactive, educational showcase helps individuals learn which breeds are best for their lifestyle, straight from the experts themselves.

The American Kennel Club (AKC) Humane Fund has announced its winners of their 17th annual AKC Humane Fund Awards for Canine Excellence (ACE) and the five deserving  recipients truly are heroic.  The awards are given to dogs who represent the best of five categories: Uniformed Services K-9, Service, Therapy, Search and Rescue and Exemplary Companion dog
