Benefits

Exclusive Kibble
The kibble's texture and formula are adapted to the Labrador Retrienver, and its exclusive shape helps reduce the rate of food intake.

Ideal Weight
His northern ancestors needed plenty of calories before diving into the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and the Labrador Retriever has inherited his legendary appetite from them. As a result, he needs a carefully controlled diet to avoid becoming overweight. This exclusive formula helps maintain the adult Labrador Retriever's ideal weight with an appropriate calorie content.

Bone & Joint Health
As a determined athlete, the Labrador Retriever gives his all. His solid body, strong bones and his natural predisposition to gain weight are among the factors which can put stress on his joints. The Labrador Retriever Adult formula helps support healthy bones and joints and helps maintain ideal weight. Enriched with EPA & DHA.

Healthy Skin & Coat
The skin and coat reflect the dog's state of health. An appropriate food is important in maintaining healthy skin and coat. The Labrador Retriever Adult formula helps support the skin's role as a barrier with an exclusive complex of nutrients and helps maintain skin and coat health (EPA & DHA).

Product Reviews
Royal Canin ® Breed Health Nutrition ® Labrador Retriever Adult dry dog food is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 190.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from For a very healthy labrador! I started using Royal Canin Labrador 3 months ago. I used the standard Royal Canin before for large dogs. The Labrador version is so much better. My dog's fur is much softer and shinier. He always had one ear that was always dirty and does not suffer from that problem anymore. He is a very greedy labrador, but sometimes goes off dry food, but he gobbles this food up and asks for more (which he doesn't get!). I thoroughly recommend this food for a labrador. I have tried quite a few brands (my dog is 4 years old) and this one is by far the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best for the breed Our Labrador thrives on Royal Canin Breed Health Nutrition. She loves it. When the delivery van driver hauls the shipping box out of his truck and carries it to the porch, she is literally dancing all the way along with him. Belle will be seven years old at the end of October, and has been on Royal Canin since she was a pup. Her energy and stamina are remarkable, she's a great gun dog and a solid retriever; as well as a playful and lovable member of the family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps With Atopic Dog and Her Seasonal Allergies I bought a bag just a little over a month ago at the recommendation of my labrador's veterinary dermatologist. My dog is atopic and suffers from seasonal allergies (tested for, but no sign of food allergies). Even though she is on daily allergy drops (SLIT), I've had to supplement her previous food with additional essential fatty acid pills, and bathe her weekly. She still itched a lot. But since starting Royal Canin, the itching seems to have lessened greatly, and she doesn't need the EFA pills. I know a change in diet can't be a cure-all for my girl, and she'll always need her weekly baths and allergy drops, but the change in diet has proved to be such a great help, we'll be staying with it. You found a new convert.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Labrador that are sensitive to allergie My chocolate lab started getting a lot of allergies as a puppy.. it started about 4-6 months old. First I had him on another brand and then my Vet suggested the royal canning special diet in the blue bag... we noticed a difference.. I bought that from the vets office.. we had issue getting a new supply so we tried the Labrador puppy bag and to our amazement his coat became shinny and his allergies went away. Since he has bred 15months and we switched him to adult Labrador royal cannon and his coat is beautiful and he is a very health dog.... most important the vet bills have gone down. No more skin infections. Thank you we love our big baby Buddy Macias

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Formula Made My Dog Sick I have a nine year old yellow lab that would eat dirt if I let him. He's been on this food for two years now with no problems. Last week I ordered his food and received a bag of the new formula. When I opened it I immediately saw the color was brighter and it also smelled very different. Within two hours of feeding him dinner he threw it all up. Four hours later he woke us up vomiting bile and foam, it went on for ten minutes. I tried mixing the new formula food with Hills I/D since I know he does well on the I/D. Now he refuses to eat either and I'll have to find a new food for him. Why would you randomly change a good food and ruin it?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Labs look great! I tried this food because I had heard about it from other breeders. I was a bit skeptical at first because I loved the ingredient list of my current food and my dogs were doing great on it. Well, I decided to give it a try and I was amazed! I thought my Labs just didn’t have the greatest coats (as in a smooth non-abundant coat). I was shocked to find that my Labs did indeed have coats and the one I thought had a decent coat, had even more coat! The only dog who can’t eat the Labrador Retriever food is my one Lab who gets hotspots like crazy if she eats grains. My other dogs look great, are healthy, and look forward to their food at each feeding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made a noticeable difference Our 2 year old chocolate lab has a sensitive stomach and inhaling his food sure didn't help. We tried several types of easily digestible food with varying degrees of success. I noticed his coat had gotten dull. After a bit more research, I decided to give Royal Canin's adult lab food a try and now I don't expect to change. The large kibbles do indeed slow him down and I don't think he has ever liked his food as much as the Royal Canin, judging by his excitement at feeding time. We are having a harder time maintaining our pre-feeding discipline ritual. His coat is the shiniest I have ever seen and his stomach problems seem to have reduced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our fur babies LOVE this food!!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about the Labrador adult dry dog food. We have a lab that is about a year and a half old and once we switched her to this food she began eating slower with the first bowl. She seems to stay satisfied longer (things were no longer being chewed up at home while we worked) and I also feel like some of the skin conditions she was having are now gone. We also found our German Shepherd who doesn't make much of a fuss over dinner time also loved this food and would actually hop around when the bowls came out. We have since switched him over to the German Shepherd food but he loves that just as much as the Labrador food.
