Product Reviews
Royal Canin ® Feline Health Nutrition ™ Indoor 7+ dry cat food is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from no filler and extra fat for Himmie cat and Simese on the recommendation of rescue personnel I have been using Royal Canin for my adopted Hymanlayan cat and also rescued part Simese. Both are older now and don't want filler products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Corn is not a good FIRST ingredient The new "packaging" also has a different nutritional analysis. In the older "packaging," chicken is the first ingredient. In the new "packaging, CORN is the first ingredient. How is that the same? The calorie content is also slightly different. Are you just trying to save money?? The price at the store surely hasn't gone down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed in the "new" Mature 27 I've been feed Mature 27 to my 14+ year old Tortie for a while after going through numerous other senior foods that caused her to have diarrhea and lose a substantial amount of weight. It stopped the diarrhea and put weight back on her and put a little bit of life back in her. I should note that after close to $1,000 in vet bills, she has no underlying health issues, she's just an old kitty. This past weekend I traveled to 4 PetSmarts trying to find Mature 27 and it wasn't until the 4th PetSmart that I see a sticker on Indoor 7+ telling me of the "new name" and that the product still had the same recipe as Mature 27. Hesitantly I purchased it and am now back to dealing with my senior kitty having diarrhea. You've changed something in the content of the food. The kernels are a different size and different color and, her diarrhea is back. I'm frantic because now I don't know what to feed her and now must go through numerous foods to find out what does and doesn't work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the same ingredients I had been purchasing the Indoor Mature 27 for a number of years for my cats. They liked it a lot. However now the new 7+ version has corn, barley, wheat, chicken meal, corn gluten meal, soy isolate, and wheat gluten as the first seven ingredients. No actual chicken at all. The original had CHICKEN, corn gluten meal, rice, brown rice, corn, chicken fat, soy isolate, chicken meal as the first 7 ingredients. The rest were vitamins and supplements similar to the new one. Chicken meal is not the same as chicken and its not even the first ingredient. It makes a difference. Looks like they were trying to save money but the price of the product is still as high or higher. Based on the ingredients alone, I will not buy this product. Plus both have a huge amount of carbohydrates for carnivore food. I noticed that the company made a response to a prior review that the only difference is the packaging. That is obviously not true unless the old packaging was completely false.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Is not the same You can see the difference. The first 3 ingredients are important. My cats and I want the old recipe back please!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Taste! (at least that's what they tell me) I have been feeding both of my cats Indoor Mature 27 for the past couple years. When one was diagnosed with early renal disease, I needed to reduce the protein in his diet, but at the same time needed to take care of my other cat. They both love the taste (as evidenced by their eating habits) and it meets the nutritional requirements for both cats (who are 9 and 10).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat has been eating this for years! My now 16 year old cat has been eating this food for the last couple of years - still loves it and still going strong! We all know how fussy cats can be and I must say I am amazed that my kitty still loves this food after eating it for so long, but she does and apparently it is doing right by her because she has good health and energy levels for being such a senior kitty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mature Adult Cat Food Before we bought this food our two 14 year old cats vomited/regurgitated almost daily on the other senior food which we fed them. Our cats have had many teeth removed due to resorptive lesions. As soon as our cats tried this food, their vomiting/regurgitation decreased to about once a week. They preferred to eat this food over the other food, also. They digest it well, and their stools are normal. This food has a moderate calorie content, which works well for their sedentary life style. We have been feeding Royal Canin Feline Health Nutrition Indoor 7+ for about a year now. We are really pleased with it.
