Royal Canin ® Veterinary Care Nutrition™ Feline Senior Consult dry cat food 7.7 lb bag is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Missy Approves! My 7 year old Siamese mix Missy loves this stuff! I was looking for a good food to help keep her healthy as she begins transitioning into her senior years when the Royal Canin rep for the clinic I work for told me that the Senior Consult would be good for her. I love the S/O index, the joint supplement in it, the Lysine, and the nutrients that help keep her fur soft and healthy! When I transitioned Missy from Hill’s Indoor Adult 7+ (which she hadn’t been eating very well) to Senior Consult, I literally had to take her bowl away for a little bit because she ate it so quickly that I was afraid she was going to make herself sick! Missy approves and so do I

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beat out other popular brand I've been in the vet field 20+ yrs. I've always fed all my fur babies Hill's brand food. They all lived long lives. I recently was talking to a rep who recommended your Senior Consult. My 14 yr old is a healthy senior and I'm a strong believer that a good diet leads to a good long healthy life. I was very interested to see what Peter would think of this diet. When I opened the bag I really like the pleasant smell of the food. He was very excited and constantly rubbed against my legs waiting for me to pour him a bowl. He never reacted this way to the Hill's brand. I continued to feed this diet. One day my order was delayed and I had I run out and pick up a quick bag. I bought the Hill's brand. To my surprise he was dissappinted. He ate it with hesitation. Once his Senior Consult came in he was excited to eat again. I had to donate the left over Hill's. He has spunk and his coat is beautiful. Keep up the good work with your products. Peter and I thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I have been using Royal Canin for 7 months now for my 15 year old cat and she loves it--she even eats it more than her wet food! Before I switched she did not eat her dry food as muh due to it being too hard on her teeth. The vet loves that she eats it, I love that she eats it, and she loves eating it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems to "turn back the clock" for my senior cat Until my cat was 12 - she was the most playful, happy cat with a dog's personality and playfulness with everyone she met. Then, I found on lump on her torso and it was cancer. It was a "curable" cancer, but 5 ribs needed to be surgically removed along with some muscle. Along with recovery, she started to have stiffer joints, and I could hear some creaking bones and then she stopped stretching and cried out sometimes when I tried to stretch her legs. She was also showing signed of early chronic kidney disease. Her oncologist recommended another prescription diet for joint disease, with lots of omega 3s from fish oil. The results were okay - my cat didn't creak as much - but started to reject the food because of all the fish oil and she still didn't play with any of her many toys. 3 months ago, her oncologist told me she knew Royal Canin had a food with New Zealand Green Mussel - there was no science behind it yet - but she was okay with letting my cat try it. The results have been amazing after 2 months. I am writing this while my now 15 year old cat is running around with a toy in her mouth - and then jumping up on the sofa to drop said toy in my lap. Her most recent blood work was amazing. She loves the dry food - and wouldn't touch the wet. Seeing her like this is amazing. I fully recommend this food.
