Royal Canin Veterinary Diet ® Canine Gastrointestinal Fiber Response dry dog food is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 239.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gastrointestinal food is wonderful My girl had been on urinary s/o for about 9+ years. And it was wonderful for her urinary crystals, but in December she started being constipated so I have now been switched to the gastrointestinal Royal Canin. The vet said it had a lot of the same ingredients as the SO and it is also helping with the constipation. Thank goodness that you make the specialty dog foods. I doubt very seriously if you had not made the various kinds of food that help my baby, that I would still have her. Hershey Lee is 13 and the absolute love of my life. I am so very grateful to Royal Canin for keeping her in my life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what our dog needed! Vet recommended. After a number of blood and stool tests plus fasting blood tests and different medications - nothing seemed to help our dog's severe diarrhea. Our Vet recommended Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Gastrointestinal Fiber Response Dry Dog Food. After eating this food - our dog's condition improved immediately. Had we not used this great product, more procedures might have been necessary. Plus, our dog regained all the weight that was lost from the weeks of diarrhea. But most importantly - our dog loves this food and even gave her coat more of a shine! She loved this food immediately. Thank you Royal Canin for helping make our dog healthy and happy again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tried and true We have fed our cats GI food for years. It literally saved the life of one of our cats. He was a lifeong cardiac patient and in his teens, developed serious constipation. His bowel movements were hard and dry and the straining was stressful. He began eating less. Our vet recommended we try Royal Canin GI Fiber Response food and we saw immediate results. His stool became normal and easy to pass. His appetite returned and there was no more straining and, consequently, no more stress on his heart. He lived to the ripe old age of 18 & 3 months. Several of our cats still happily eat this food. We are eternally grateful to Royal Canin for developing this food.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from He likes it! My 10yr old chihuahua has developed chronic diarrhea and fussy eating as a result. It's been a mess around here for the last 10 months to say the least, and vet trips for anti-diarrheals don't treat the chronicity. Yesterday my vet recommended this for the fiber content, and guaranteed the purchase if Woody didn't like it. I barely got the crunchies into the bowl because he was headfirst and eating like a horse! We still had hourly trips outside all thru the night, but after his breakfast 4 hours ago, he's yet to make a non-routine bathroom break. Hesitatantly hopeful, maybe he will eat this consistently and feel better and be able to make actual poops!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my dogs life My dog was having trouble keeping weight on despite eating as much as she possibly could. She seemed to be constantly starving and simply could not get enough food. We'd feed her more than normal and she'd still lose weight. You could see her ribs and hip bones protruding. Random people would comment on how sick she looked, it was that bad. The vets weren't sure exactly why this was happening, but they prescribed this diet about 2-3 months ago and it has changed her back into her old self. She's no longer desperate for food all day long and she's starting to get back to a healthy weight. This is such a better alternative to pumping her full of meds all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This food has been a saviour for my Black Lab My dog had issues with his poop almost from the day one. Initially, we thought it must have been because he was still a puppy, but alas. During the first 5 months of his life, we did many vet. tests ( which all turned out just fine) and we bought so many different dogs' food products, some of them we even had to import. Anyhow, we managed to solve a problem with Royal C. Vet - Sensitivity control, but after a year they changed the formula we were at the beginning again. Then we saw online Fibre response ( which we had to import because for some reason this was probably the only kind of Royal's dry food that up until that point they did not import in Serbia) One day on this food and we solved the problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When I first brought my 8 month old puppy home, I fell for the advertising of another name brand. We are an active family, and enjoy spending weekends on adventures to visit out of town family, state parks, and local friends (some with pets of there own). Yet within the first two months my puppy began showing signs of recurring digestive distress (most often after a fun weekend) on top of that she kept loosing weight. We talked about changing diets with our vet and I discovered how very little I know about pet food. Since putting Scout on a royal canine diet we are able to enjoy our adventurous nature without fearing the consequences!
