Royal Canin Veterinary Diet ® Canine Multifunction Urinary + Hydrolyzed Protein dry dog food is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hooray. Finally a dry food our dog can eat! Our 9 year old Bichon has a long history of food allergies as well as calcium oxylate crystals and stones. He has had bladder surgery twice. Following his last surgery, Max was on a strict diet of canned Royal Canin Urinary SO. I was concerned about how a diet of "wet" food only would affect his teeth, but we had no choice. When our vet told us about Royal Canin's multifunction urinary plus hydrolyzed dog food, we jumped at the chance to try it. So far, no increased allergy problems and he really likes it. I alternate one meal of canned and one meal of dry food daily. Thanks Royal Canin for giving Max a little variety and giving us some peace of mind. P.S. He had his teeth cleaned recently and other than a minimal amount of plaque, his teeth are fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST Hypoallergenic food that helped my dog! I worked for a vet and our dog was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, which is normally caused by a food allergy. We tried another prescription diet and while she no longer vomited, she was still losing weight like crazy. After lots of research, Royal Canin Hypo HP was recommended. She's been on this food for over 5 years now with minimal flare-ups, healthy coat, and maintained a perfect weight. HIGHLY recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly Multifunctional My veterinarian recommended this dog food for my Papillion who experiences, or should I say was experiencing, bladder stones which are very painful and troublesome. The vet visits and antibiotics are costly as well. After beginning this diet, she has experienced no bladder stones in the last six months. I obviously understand that at some point she will probably experience them again, but I appreciate that this food has lived up to its purpose in maintaining her health.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for skin & crystals in urine My dog needed to go on the S/O diet due to crystals in her urine. After several years , the crystals were gone , but her weight & coat started to decline. We switched over to the urinary + HP and within months, she gained her weight back , and her skin looks great. As I am a vet tech , this is one of my first go to foods now for my clients that have pets exhibiting the same symptoms my dog did. I'm very happy to have found this food !
