Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Duck Dog Food! I bought this food for my 11 year old maltese. She had trouble breathing and her skin had developed very bad sores. My vet wanted to put her asleep but we decided to try changing her food. We tried the royal canine duck & rabbit. Wow, then a miracle happened! After a month or so, her skin cleared up and her breathing was good again.. she lived another 3 years to be 14… I was so happy to see her not suffer till she passed. Now I have a year 1/2 old maltese and i put her on the duck PD 3 months ago, she's doing great and her orange tear stains have almost disappeared…don't need angle eyes products anymore. So happy to find this food!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pricey but has worked well for my dogs I trust this food and my dogs have not had gastro issues like they were when I was feeding another manufacturer. I started out buying through my vet's office and then got a prescription to take a a pet store that has a vet inside the store. They did not want follow through on my orders, so I went back to buying from the vet and have had no problem except I have gotten at least 8 cans that were dented so badly that the product is moldy inside, and several other dozens of dented cans that I could salvage but was not happy about. Some of these cans were on the inside or middle of the flat of 24, so it was impossible for UPS or FEDEX to have dropped and dented them since the plastic and cardboard was intact and the dents were on the sides of the can towards the bottom. I did call Royal Canin and they said I would have to bring it up with the vets office, and did not seem too concerned. I spend a lot to feed this product to two dogs, and I will continue to do so because both of the dogs are older and I don't want to rock the boat, but something needs to be done about the dented can issue. Otherwise, the product works for us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for dogs with food allergies! My lab was diagnosed with food allergies at 6 months of age. We had tried other brands that said they were for food sensitivities, however when reading the label, these foods were processed on the same line as non sensitive foods. After switching to PD, we noticed an immediate change to his coat and allergy reaction. I would not put him on any other brand. Thank you Royal Canin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shih tzu mix with allergies My little man has been struggling for years with itchy eyes/ears and skin rashes. We've gone from get to vet and have been told everything from pink eye, glaucoma, dry eye. Everything! A few years ago we found a vet that put him on temiral p (a steroid) and we've finally found apoqual, a God send. But no matter what he was still always itching at his eyes and ears. Finally my ver recommended a 19 week food trial with this and within s couple weeks I could already see a difference! We went from giving him a whole pill a day and still being itchy to within a couple months cutting down to half a pill a day and he's so much happier. He hardly itches now! He's a VERY picky eater so he requests that we add water to it, something about the texture but once I water it down he gobbles it right up! We also have struggled in the past with constipation issues and since we switched no more problems there! He will forever be on this food.. It's totally worth the price! Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Food for Danny Nothing but Duck/Potato for our Labrador Retriever, Danny. He is two years old and has not yet decided to feed himself. Feeding time is a special time for special attention by hand feeding with a special spoon. Can't resist those brown eyes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great food, some dented cans Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was diagnosed with IBD at the age of 2 years, and esophageal sphincter at the age of 2. Our vet put him on Royal Canin prescription canned Venison while he was healing. It has been 4 years, and a switch to Duck and potato when the Venison was no longer available from RC. He is doing well, no serious issues, great skin and coat. I am buying it from Chewy.com and they have free delivery . There have been times when the case has dented cans, and some are badly dented. I just call Chewy.com and they reimburse me for every dented can, every time. The last case came in perfect condition, but those cases with the dents in the bottom row middle are frustrating, and I won't serve them to my dog. Other than the dented cans, I would give this product 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Food! Our dog was having terrible digestive problems including diarrhea and vomiting. Brought her to the vet and after tests decided to start changing her diet. This is the food we purchased and I couldn't be more happy! Total 360 in my dogs eating habits and behavior. Not to mention she is very very picky so I thought she wouldn't touch this food. Well I'm happy to say I was wrong! She absolutely loves this food and the dry food. Now my dog is acting like her good old self Happy and energetic!
