Product Reviews
Royal Canin Veterinary Diet ® Canine Selected Protein Adult PR dry dog food is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 98.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! My beautiful pug Dozer has been on this and only this food for about 3-4 months. Dozer gets chronic ear infections so he needs a pure food to help with his food allergies. What's on the label is what's in the bag, it's not tainted in any way by any other ingredients. If we did not have our Royal Canin poor Dozer would be in a lot of pain all the time. It has changed our life for the better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic dog food! My dog was diagnosed with IBS and until we tried this food she was sick all the time. We would buy a food, she would eat it for a few days then quit. She was waking us up in the night to go outside and eat grass to make herself vomit or have loose stools. Not anymore! She has been eating this food eagerly for over a year now. I believe this food has saved our Sophie's life! Thank you Royal Canin. I highly recommend this food!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog loves this food!!!! My 6-year old boston terrier was pretty much on her way out in April 2015, but when I found out she had inflammatory disease, we changed her food to this one. She absolutely loves the food and she is back to normal!! I'm so thankful she's still in our lives

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps reduce allergic reactions. My Shih-Tzu has been on this for years. A specialist recommended this food after determining that my dog had allergies to chicken, beef, duck and lamb. Once started on the Potato & Rabbit, her ears cleared and the paw licking stopped. We have tried other brands with similar ingredients, but always return to Royal Canin. I do soften the food a bit with warm water, since my puppy is nearly 14 years young.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Labrador is a new dog on this food! My dog has been on this food for almost a year. He would always get ear infections, and gland infections before switching to this food. We used to be on a hypoallergenic diet that just wasn't working for him and he hated to eat it. I even notice he is scratching less on this food. But the best part is that he LOVES to eat it. Every day he begs for his food and licks the bowl clean about 20 times after he is done eating. He cannot get enough of it. Also he has more energy and is so much more playful with this new food. I could not be happier with the results. Thank you for making such a great food. You have made a difference in my dogs quality of life and I could not be more grateful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping my dog healthy for 10 + years! Our lovely Riley was a rescue and came from Alabama with multiple health problems. The most stubborn and difficult was IBD - he had multiple flare-ups and debilitating bouts of vomiting and diarrhea. Our vet suggested that we transition to Royal Canin Selected Protein PR. As long as we are completely faithful to this food choice Riley is healthy and symptom free! He loves his special chow and we love having a healthy fellow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog has been on this food for the last 3 - 4 years. She was throwing up and losing weight before being put on this food. Through diagnostic testing we found out she has IBS, and by feeding her this food she has been well. If she eats something she isn't supposed to, she will have an episode, but after taking prednisone for a short period of time and returning to eating just this food the issue is resolved.
