Product Reviews
Royal Canin Veterinary Diet ® Canine Selected Protein Adult PV dry dog food is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 85.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy and Happy! My 11 month black lab mix became very sick, Heliabacter and IBS. After many test and medications, it was recommended by my vet to put Bella on Royal Canin dog food. I had tried other brands as well, but they did not agree with her. Bella is now 2 and doing great! The biggest downfall is the expense. I also purchase the Royal Canin Bulldog food for Dozer and the canned wet food for their occasional medications. We spend over $200 a month on dog food, more then our grocery bill. I really wish there were coupons, rebates etc.. to help with the expense. But, they are our 4 legged babies and we love them and want them to be healthy and happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only food for my allergic doggie. This product was recommended by our Vet several years ago. My Havanese was getting awful ear infections which often required an overnight stay to drain the yeast infection out of his ears. Dr. Molesworth established that my dog was highly allergic to grains and poultry. My healthy and happy doggie has been enjoying this excellent product for over 4 years. Pele' has not had an ear infection or bowel issues since starting on Royal Canin Veterinary Formula RV both Dry and wet. Life is good when your dog is healthy and happy!! Thank you for a clean, healthy, and tasty product. K. Rosen Baltimore, MD

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Geat food for pets with allergies! My dog's veterinarian recommended that I put my dog, Ava, on this food so that we could do a food trial for her. The results are great! Ava's itching and skin issues have improved dramatically. I am so happy with the results. I'll recommend this food to anyone who has a pet with skin issues or allergies. It has made a great difference in my dog's life. Thanks for such a great, high quality product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy Pet Now We had been using Royal Canin previously but my son-in-law found a less expensive brand with the same ingredients. So, we were on that. After some blood work on our dog, we now see she was missing some vital nutrients and our Vet suggested to use ONLY Royal Canin! So...with that said, we are back to your brand and so happy. Our little Maggie is happy and well, too. Thanks to the special care of your staff in being sure of its nutrients, we are happy, also. GOOD JOB!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No More Hot Spots! We took our Golden Retriever to the vet after many months of her itching, getting ear infections, licking her paws, and finally after she developed "hot spots". The vet did a food allergy screening and found that she was allergic to most normal foods. She could only have venison, rabbit, and pork. This food has CURED her of all allergic reactions. NO MORE HOT SPOTS! We will occasionally give her bacon, but other than that...no other meats. THANK YOU Royal Canin! You saved our Daisy from discomfort and probably worse reactions down the road!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has made a huge difference in my dog's allergies My dog has food allergies, so our vet recommended changing her diet to the Selected Protein dry food. We made the switch, and now only give her fresh fruits and veggies for snacks, and it has made a world of difference for our dog. She was chewing her fur off and scratching herself raw. That has cleared up, and outside of some seasonal allergies in the fall, she does not have any problems now. My only issue with this food is how expensive it is. It is worth it to know she's not suffering like she was, but it does cost quite a bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only Thing My Dog Can Have Hello! My dog had terrible allergy problems and nobody could help me! He would just rake his face against anything and would do it so often that his chin would get infected with blisters. Finally, I took him to a dermatologist vet, who suggested that I start him on Royal Canin PV. This is the only thing that has helped him. He has not gotten one more outbreak on his chin since starting this diet. Thank you, Royal Canin!
