Product Information

Struvite Dissolution
Provides nutrition that aids in the management of pure struvite uroliths.

Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology predicts the crystallization potential of urine; RSS is used to develop diets that lower the concentration of ions contributing to struvite and calcium oxalate urolithiasis.

Urine Dilution
Increasing the urine volume simultaneously reduces the saturation of urine with calcium oxalate and struvite crystals.

Controlled Magnesium
Reduced level of magnesium, a natural component of struvite stones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT FOR DOGS WITH BLADDER STONES My Shih Tzu had bladder stones two years ago which fortunately passed with Pedialyte and no surgery. Since that time she has been on Royal Canin Urinary SO dog food, wet and dry with no bladder stones at her last six-month check up. Unfortunately she is not allowed treats but I put her dry dog food in her treat jar and whenever I open it to give her some of the dry food she becomes very excited because she thinks she is getting a treat. She is healthy, she has had no bladder stones and no weight gain since starting on the Urinary SO dog food. The only drawback is that the food is very expensive and there are never any coupons at Pet Smart for this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Results I rescued a dog a little over a year ago. He had urinary problems all along. After several tries with antibiotics and many urinalysis and even a culture, I put him on this Royal Canin Urinary canned food. He has improved wonderfully, his urine samples have come back better than they have ever been and most importantly no infections. He loves the food, and he is a happy dog now. I also want to say that I have a 10 year old that is a diabetic and he has been on Royal Canin Glycobalance for a year now. Has helped regulate his glucose and he loves that food as well, he gets the canned and the dry. I will always feed my dogs your food. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping my furry friend alive I have used this particular product for about ten years. My Jack Russell terrier has a condition where the pH levels in his urine create bladder stones if they become to acidic or basic. He has had THREE bladder surgeries in the first 3 years of his life. The Urinary SO diet was the last diet my vets could recommend to help my dog (named Gary) stay alive since no other diet we had tried had worked. Since he has been on this diet he has had an amazing, happy and healthy life. Without this product Gary would have died a long time ago. I cannot thank Royal Canin enough for giving me all these years with Gary. The Urinary SO diet is literally a life saver!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Royal Canine is filling and nutritious I have been using this food on my dog, Willie, since he was a puppy. Bichon's tend to have urinary problems and so my vet highly recommended it for Willie. He is now 7 years old and eats it twice a day. Breakfast time may vary, but he comes to me at 5 pm every day and reminds me, IT IS TIME FOR MY ROYAL CANINE DINNER! I also have inherited a little Bichon-maltese, Daisy. She had been living on table scraps and Lunchables and I was told she would not eat dog food. Well, in two days, I had a very happy, Daisy, eating Royal Canine dry dog food! She is so much healthier since she came to live with me 2 1/2 years ago. She is now a happy energetic 9 year old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We Love RC SO!!!!! Bella, 9 pound Miki, had 31 bladder stones surgically removed 3 years ago, she has been on RC SO ever since. She has no sign of stones and she loves it!! We just tried the new gravy-morsel formula and Bella likes it even better (It does looks yummy)! We still buy the old solid-pate-like formula to bake her treats and she has the dry food for lunch. Thank you for helping my dog stay healthy, you make a dog food I trust and my dog loves!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miracle Dog Food Three years ago my dog, Spike, experienced sepsis from severe renal calculi (kidney stones). He was so critically ill that we were not sure he would recover. The veterinarian was able to surgically remove the stones and restore his urinary flow. Spike is a shih tzu and apparently prone to these particular types of renal stones. The veterinarian prescribed Royal Canin Urinary SO for Spike and we have been using it ever since. I am happy to say that Spike has had no further renal stones detected in his urine and is happy and healthy. Thank you Royal Canin Urinary SO dog food for keeping my adored pet Spike happy and healthy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Urinary SO can dog food Six years ago, both of my Yorkshire Terriers (Frank & Jesse) were diagnosed with kidney stones requiring surgery. Afterwards, they were prescribed Royal Canin Urinary SO canned dog food to aid with reoccurring stones ( as they are now prone to this condition) Well....I thought that this would be a problem for them to go from a dry food to a wet one-but, it wasn't! THEY ATE IT UP!!! I personally have not tasted it-but it does look good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picky Penny LOVES Royal Canin Penny is a very picky eater. She was recently ill and was prescribed several pills to be taken daily. What an ordeal! First I used cheese, then peanut butter. Nothing disguised the pills not even the pill pockets. I asked our beloved Dr Sholts if I could try wet food (Penny eats the dry Royal Canin). He gave me two sample cans and to my surprise she went wild and gulped the food/pill right away! She no longer takes pills but runs back into the house each morning after her outside visit looking for her treat of Wet Royan Canin. She is 14 yrs old but now acts like a puppy again!!! Thank you Royal Canin, I no longer have to stress over Penny and pills....we LOVE you!
