Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survival in a can! My beloved 17 year old cat was critically injured over a year ago and I have been tube feeding him Royal Canin Recovery twice a day ever since. He has had many surgeries as well as a Melanoma diagnosis, but in spite of it all, he continues to do well enough to have quality of life. He and I have been enjoying his last months of life and I can only assume that he is able to do this because of the quality of nutrition he has been receiving.Thank you Royal Canin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my cat's life! My young cat became critically ill due to Salmonella poisoning from her usual cat food. After her liquid diet via syringe for a week, the vet said to slowly introduce soft food -- the Recovery -- mixed with her liquid diet. WOW what a difference! After 2 days her appetite improved, and now is able to eat the Revovery from a dish! I'm switching all my pets to Royal Canin. It truly helped save Paisley's life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product My cat came down with pneumonia after suffering from bone marrow suppression as the result of his hyperthyroid medication. He lost interest in food and the only thing I could get him to eat prior to this (after trying at least 10 different foods, including gourmet, grocery store, and other prescription foods) was Fancy Feast, and he would mostly just lick the liquid off that and leave the rest. He wasn't even interested in cooked chicken or canned fish. Recovery was the first food he ate immediately, completely, and independently. Since he is already significantly underweight from hyperthyroidism and has no more weight to lose, Recovery is quite literally a life saver. Thank you so much!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good to get a cat to eat after surgery/trauma. This is meant to be given to a picky cat after something bad has happened such as surgery, trauma, etc... This is not a "forever" diet. The quality is not as great as the reviews say. It's first ingredient is water and good canned foods should start with a meat ingredient not water. Also it should not contain ANY BY-PRODUCT. This can is loaded with a huge vitamin pack than can boost appetite so once your cat is eating well again, you should find a healthy "high meat & high protein" corn, soy. grain, and by-product free canned food to feed regularly. Most vets will keep trying to sell you this product because they like to "keep" regular customers. Remember, your vet's office is also a business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spark of Life We purchase this product for our office regularly, and it's the only thing that will bring a cat that isn't eating back to life! We love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Food An excellent food. Have used this food for recovering, debilitated animals. Great food when syringe feeding is necessary. Very palatable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved Two Kittens from dying I had two foster kittens that got very sick with an upper respiratory. They could not breath at one point. They would not eat anything so we had to force feed them. This was the food the vet told us to feed them. After about two months of dealing with their sickness, they got better. Sadly they didn't get adopted til they were almost a year old
