Royal Canin Veterinary Diet ® Feline Calm dry cat food is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 72.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive food, but it's helping so it's worth it! We have four cats in our household. One of the cats grew up with a dog, but no other cats, so she doesn't know how to act around other cats. The other three cats get along with each other and other cats. We have tried Feliway, Zylkene, and Reconcile with no real change seen. She has been on Calm for 2-3 months now and while she is still not crazy about the other cats, she is much less vocal (usually she growls and hisses when one is within 10 feet of her) and we have even seen her chasing the other cats, but not hissing or growling like usual. We think she's trying to play with them, which is a HUGE improvement. This food is expensive, but it has definitely been worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from saved a life I have a 6 year old cat that came down with a bad urinary and possible IC, Due to a life change and a drastic reduce in income I thought after several rounds of treatment I was going to have to put him down because monies were exhausted, My vet suggested this food to help fight against his problem, It was expensive, but I had to try to save his life and free him from pain. Its been a year now, and he is doing great!!! Its still a struggle to my budget because I am feeding 2 cats, but as long as I can, I will, My kitties are my heart and have kept me sane due to life changes that have occurred. So as far as I am concerned this food has been a miracle for me and a little fur baby full of love, Thank You

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Cured" my cat! I have tried a lot of things with my domestic short hair who has quite a hateful attitude at the veterinary clinic and towards anyone besides a select few family members. Feliway, drugging him with Gabapentin, thundershirt, etc. The Calm diet has been a life saver! He still isn't the "perfect" snuggle buddy for everyone but has improved greatly on his attitude at home and at the vet I credit Calm for this 100%. Taking him to the vet recently on an emergency basis where I was unable to drug him or give him anything to relax him, made me extremely nervous, but thanks to Calm he was almost a gentleman! He will be on this food forever and I am so happy to see that he is happier when family or friends are over and isn't filled with hate and anxiety. Thanks to Royal Canin Calm and all their diets my pets are happy healthy! Everyone is on Royal Canin in my house and I will keep it that way!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is great food I started my cats on this food about a year ago. One has real anxiety/ kitty stress issues and was licking off most of her hair. Her legs and her belly were almost completely bare. (looked like she had a poodle cut and people laughed at her) Since we started with the Calm, she is licking much less and her hair gradually began growing back in. She is now back to her pretty little self with lots of soft black hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Miracle food! I have a cat Tommy & he is very anxious & nervous of every one & every thing (noises & people). After my vet suggested Calm, he is a different cat! He is less timid & more social. Friends come over & see him & tell us they never new that we had 2 cats because they've never seen him. It has changed his life for the better. The only thing that I have to say that's negative is that it seems that after a while of eating Calm, it does seem he gets immune to it so I have to switch it up sometimes & give him a break from it but all in all, this is miracle food!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So glad I found this! I love this food! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it does give three of my twelve cats tummy trouble. My oldest girl cannot have wheat or wheat gluten, which this food contains. It's unfortunate, because she really likes the flavor and wants to eat it, but she'll vomit or have diarrhea. Two others have the same issues; one with vomiting and the other with diarrhea. However, the food does wonders for everyone's mood and the house is much more peaceful. If only Royal Canin could work on the digestive issues for those that have sensitive stomachs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat was diagnosed with urinary cystitis when he was six months old. In addition to the cystitis he did not get along great with one of the cats in my household. I started feeding Royal Canin Calm and noticed an improved personality in general and he wasn't fearful or anxious around my other cat. I have his urine checked every six months and he shows no signs of his cystitis being flared. I didn't have any Calm to feed him and the clinic had run out so I fed him another diet and it was very noticeable. He was anxious and shy again and he was using the litterbox more often. Once he was back on the food his litterbox usuage decreased and he was no longer anxious or fearful. Now he is one of my most affectionate cats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more behavior problems I have been feeding Royal Canin Feline Calm diet for several years now. Before starting the food, one of my four cats was urinating inappropriately and there was some intercat fighting. The transition to the food was easy and all my cats love the food. The urinating around the house issue stopped. I attempted to try another company's similar product for 1 month, but the problems returned (the bags of food had been given to me for free to try). I quickly returned to Royal Canin Calm diet and have not had the problem since.
