Product Reviews
Royal Canin Veterinary Diet ® Feline Calorie Control dry cat food is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The cats actually EAT a light food! I have 4 cats, all are a little... um... heavy? Ok, they are fat. VERY fat. Being totally indoor cats, they get little excerise except when the dog chases them around (and yes they find that fun). My one cat also has digestive issues. Browski eats food and then throws it up. Every time he eats, you get a little present on the carpet. I took two of them Milo and Browski to the vet and he suggested I try Calorie Control cat food. Most light foods, the cats hate. I guess they are as tasty has cardboard but they love Royal Canin. They LIKE the taste and I am seeing a loss of weight!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only food my cat will eat! My cat has been on Royal Canin since she was born. Since she is an inside cat and does not get enough exercise, She had put on some extra pounds over the years. Her doctor recommended that I put her on this calorie control diet. Since she has been on this food, I have noticed that she is definitely losing some of this unneeded weight. The food makes her use her litter box more often. I asked her doctor about her going to the litter box more with this food and he explained to me that this food binds to the fat molecules and moves it out of her system with every litter box visit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Wonders When All Else Failed! When I took in my rescued cat at 22 pounds, I knew I needed to get him to lose weight. He had been rescued on his death bed at 4 pounds, and had been fattened up by the people who saved him. After going to 3 different vets and trying 2 different brands of food, my current vet recommended Royal Canin immediately. He has been on his diet for 9 months now, and has steadily been losing weight! He is now at 17.8, about two pounds from his vet's goal weight, and he is looking and acting so, so much healthier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cats love it and they lost weight! I tried this food after my cat did not lose weight on other prescription diets. On this one she did! She went from 17.5lbs to about 15lbs. Now all my cats eat it because they like it best and it keeps them all slimmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly tempting for picky cats! I have 3 cats who typically won't eat the same thing. This get pretty frustrating when you have to buy 3 different types of food and they randomly run out at different times/stop eating them suddenly. I tried this food for my overweight female, and turns out my two males love it too! It's got high protein which I prefer they eat anyway and a good nutrient profile.
