Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy on my cat's touchy tummy My Maine Coon cat has had digestive issues since he adopted me 12 years ago, & they advanced to bloody diarrhea, despite much investigation & food changes. Then we tried the Feline HP, and things smoothed right out. He's been on it for about 6 years now. There was one time when a new bag caused some problems, but RC let me trade it in for a full refund & new bag. They stand behind the (very high) quality of their food, & they actually seem to think that satisfying customers is important --a rarity in this day! I honestly think my beloved kitty-friend would've been painfully dead long ago without this very easy-on-the-system food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Cat! I knew my cat had allergies since she kept biting her skin, licking and seeing a lot of flakes on her coat. Not sure what is causing this reaction, but after she started scooting on my area rugs after she poops, it was time to take her in for a check up. The Vet recommend a hypoallergenic diet and tried this brand as well as a few others since my cat is a very picky eater. It turned out she likes this brand and within a week I can really tell her symptoms were soooo much better....Thanks Royal Canin! I can say those cat treats even the good brand ones and all those "no grain" foods you buy from the store are not always good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My FIV cat has food allergies. This is the only food that he doesn't vomit. My vet asked if I wanted to put him down when he was a few weeks old due to all his problems. He is now 7 years old and healthy. I still have to give him 3 Lysine chews every day to prevent eye infections but he's worth it! Bear was a rescue that I fostered from a dropper then a bottle at 3 days old. He wouldn't drink and had to be force feed. On top of having FIV he had a hernia, and a severe respiratory infection. The clinic didn't think he would live through the night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more vomit My cat got to a point where she was vomiting 3-4 times daily. It was very difficult to watch my sweet girl struggling. Her hair coat looked terrible and, even though she hadn’t lost much weight, she just seemed unthrifty. When all of her medical tests came back normal, I decided to try the Royal Canin HP diet. Slowly but surely she stopped vomiting and her coat got its gleam back. Now, she vomits very rarely and without fail I always find a piece of grass in it ( food challenge) This proves to me that she has a food allergy. I’m very grateful for this diet. The only thing I would change is the absolutely useless zip seals on the bags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My finicky cats actually like it One of my cats has an allergy to protein and his sister will eat only chicken dry or canned food. They also will only eat from the same dish at the same time. I did say finicky and I should have added stubborn. Their very wonderful vet gave me a sample of Royal Canin HP and after a few circles around the dish (with me holding my breath) they stuck their little noses in and devoured the food. And most important - my little boy cat responded well to the food and is now back to his old self. They will both be Royal Canin gourmands for the rest of their hopefully very long lives. I have been a Royal Canin purchaser for several years now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made all the difference! This food has made a huge difference in our cats' quality of life. They both had stomach issues when we got them, anything they ate caused discomfort. Our Vet. reccomened HP and the results were immediate. No more issues and very happy healthy cats! 3.5 years later and they both still love the food, are in great health and look amazing because of its benefits!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Royal Canin helped my cat's skin condition My cat Loki has suffered an allergy that caused him to scratch at his skin to the point of bloody scratches and scabes. Bits of skin would be attatched to bits of fur on the furniture. We had several vet visits and shots to try to help his condition. We were looking at allergy testing that would make Loki very uncomfertable and cost $700.00. The vet we saw wanted to try working with. His diet first. We then started using the Royal Canin hydrolized adult hp veterinary diet. Due to this at food, he does not scratch as much and he no longer has cuts all over his skin. He looks and feels healthier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Hydrolyzed Protein diet available. I am an LVT, and after researching the available hydrolyzed protein diets for a chronic diarrhea cat with severe intestinal dysbiosis, found that Royal Canin is the ONLY hydrolyzed protein diet containing prebiotics. Switched the kitty to this diet along with probiotic daily (as recommended by Texas A&M GI lab) and finally she is feeling better and much more playful! My own kitty is on this diet as well to control his Eosinophilic Granuloma symptoms, his skin is clear and his coat is soft and shiny. I recommend Royal Canin's hydrolyzed protein products over the other manufacturers to all my special-needs patients.
