Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank you Royal Canin!!! I have 3 cats in my household. Two of the cats have renal disease, one of which also has food allergies and the 3rd cat doesn't have any issues at this time (phew!!!). I was able to switch the cat with the renal disease only to a renal diet and saw great improvement. However, my cat with the food allergies and renal disease had to stay on his hypoallergenic food. I cannot express how happy I was for Royal Canin to come out with these multi-function foods. When my vet gave me a sample of the Royal Canin renal support plus hydrolyzed protein food I was skeptical. I had tried hydrolyzed protein in the past for my cat with food allergies and he would not have any part of it. This food is tremendous. All 3 of my cats love the dry food! My only suggestion to Royal Canin would be to offer this multi-function food as a wet food option as moisture is essential in cats with renal disease. Thank you Royal Canin!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RC saved my day! My 11 years old cat has suffered from food allergies his whole life, and been fed with Hypoallergenic formula. But two months ago he was diagnosed with renal disease and I was afraid I could not meet his needs in terms of food, but thankfully this product meets his needs and he accepted it very well. I adopted last week another cat, also with 11 years old, and although she is healthy, she is eating the same food (we all know how difficult it is to feed different food to our cats), and she loves it! The only con is the price... it's really expensive!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hydrolyzed protein feline dry food is great Our cat was losing hair like crazy, constant army itching and vomiting up food. We discovered it was from food allergies. His fur is so glossy and grew back as a result of hmthis product. $60 a bag is steep on our situation but really has improved the health of our companion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High time to have product to address BOTH issues!! My cat likes this, and her excessive urination, diarrhea, and throwing up has greatly reduced since we began giving it to her. Her weight loss has reversed itself. It appears that I may someday have to consider actually limiting the amount of food I give her, which I've never even had to consider previously because of her digestive troubles. Plus, her kidney numbers are no longer worsening! I bought this right when it first became available in February 2016. My veterinarian remembered it when I went in AGAIN about weight loss, throwing up, and diarrhea that my cat had. Her kidney numbers were dropping. But any food to help with that upset her always sensitive stomach, which would move her into weight loss and on the path to early demise due to malnutrition. I was so relieved that there was finally a multi function food that did not make us choose between supporting her kidneys or helping her digestion! And I was extremely cautious of getting too hopeful, because I'd been disappointed with things that initially seemed like a solution and then turned into to health crises for my cat. She really didn't like the flavorless (but kind to her stomach) food that was the only stuff that didn't seem to send her into a digestive spiral, and she would eat only the absolute minimum she could get by with. Now she eats willingly and is always anxious to be sure I give her enough of this (which is still currently being mixed with her less flavorful previous prescription food). I find pieces of her previous food on the floor sometimes, but never this stuff. She makes sure she cleans up every bit of this. Given the downward trajectory she was on before starting on this food, I was thinking her life span was coming to an end. This has been a lifesaver for her. She is now heavier, happier, healthier, and her kidneys should last longer. No more artificial choice between 'gut issues' or renal issues; now we can address both at the same time!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally something my cat will loves! I have been looking for a food that can target the multiple problems my 16 year old cat has. For a while I tired other prescription diets and within a few weeks my cat would stop eating them because he would get upset stomach and GI issues. It makes me so happy to see that he enjoys eating this diet and that his appetite is normal for a cat with so many metabolic changes. He seems to be satisfied with the diet and eager to eat when served. I guess I can say that he loves his food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat loves this food! I bought this food about 2 months ago after a recommendation from my vet for my senior kitty with kidney disease and gi sensitivity. He absolutely loves it and it has helped his kidneys so much! I am so grateful to have found a good that will help my cat and he loves to eat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat loves it! My cat was in the hospital in September for a week with a liver problem, and my vet recommended a renal diet because of the benefits for her liver (and her kidneys!). I was skeptical because once we took her home, she became very, very picky, which she never used to be. We tried all sorts of food and she'd turn her nose up and walk away. We purchased this renal support and HP even though I was worried she would just turn her nose again. And, I'm sorry, but the dry food looks like very dry cereal, so I was certain she wouldn't eat it. But she LOVES it! We are so pleased. She really can't get enough of it. She had lost almost 5lbs prior to, and during, her hospital stay and she's gained back 1.5lb. It doesn't sound like a lot but it's a start. She hears the back and she comes running. We could not be happier with this dry food!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very complete but not totally I've been looking for a complete product like this for years, at last I found something that targets many issues at the same time, except weight management. My cat has had liver problems, anxiety and is very overweighted. The reduced protein formula for liver desease was descontinued, so I swtched to GI moderate calorie which is great but is not specifically for liver issues. The suggested Renal Support (to help her liver) will increase my fat cat's apetite so I did not try that one. My cat would really benefit from this multifunction formula if it had less calories. It has 400 calories per cup: 100 cal. more than the GI moderate calorie that I've been using and a lot more than the Light Care formula. I wish I could have this multifuntional formula to solve also the weight problem. I love Royal Canin food and I'll stick to it. My cat loves it too!!!
