Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for two cats with different needs! My two, 2 year old male cats have been eating this food for about 2 months now and and I am so happy to have found it. One cat has struvite crystal issues (which resulted in a complete blockage), and the other a severe (being an understatement) poultry allergy. The struggle to make sure the allergic cat didn't get into the other's urinary diet food was big as all urinary food contains chicken. I was wary of the protein source being chicken, even though I was told it's hydrolyzed protein, and broken down so small it's unrecognizable. The extensive reactions my boy had in the past gave me pause in trying it. Gave it a try and am truly amazed, his body cannot recognize the protein being from chicken!! My other cat has had zero crystal issues since changing to this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Kitty Happy Life George Michael has been on this food for the past 6 months and has not has lost weight, had no issues with urinary and has cleared up a reoccuring rash we believe was an allergy. We are grateful for this food but would ideally like a wet option to keep the moisture up! Thank you Royal Canin !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat might not be alive without this product My cat with a history of severe urinary problems was suddenly diagnosed with pancreatitis. There were no options that addressed both problems and he soon became anorexic and would not eat the food for his pancreatitis (that was still placing him at risk for urinary issues). Thankfully just as I was preparing to make a difficult choice my vet contacted me saying that this product had just been released. My cat loves it, his pancreatitis is under control and his urine is crystal free (after having gone through over two bags of the food). Thank you for this amazing product!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Saved my cat's life This food literally saved my cat's life. He couldn't keep any food down for months and this food he has done so well on. If they could make a wet food of this that would be excellent! Although I have to say these last 2 months every time I buy a bag of food it looks different (more fluffy) and he starts throwing up and I have to return the bag. Did Royal Canin change their ingredients in this? Anyone else having this problem? I'm at a loss of what to do and can't get ahold of Royal Canin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food! I started my six male cats on this and it has kept urinary issues and IBD under control. Cats eat it well and have had fewer symptoms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We need a weight control version This has helped my cat with pancreas irritation which caused frequent vomiting, as well as helped with preventing urinary problems. However, he is gaining weight even feeding him less than a cup a day. He is a big cat and 7/8 cup was recommended. I have him down to 1/2 to 5/8 cup. He acts hungry with this amount. I tried supplementing with some of the royal canin canned venison, but he does not like it and won't eat it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cured the kitty! I've been using this for several months now, on my vet's recommendation. Our cat was eating average cat food products from the store, but started to have urinary tract infections. She exhibited several symptoms, including lethargy and resistance to using her litter box. She is 8 years old, and otherwise healthy, but once these infections started, we would only clear it for a few weeks, and then it would return. The vet suspected that she needed a food change. Once we switched to the Royal Canin product, she cleared up and she has not had another urinary infection since then. She is back to her normal energized self, and the urine accidents have completely stopped, she is back to her good litter box habits. We are so pleased with this result, and we will continue to keep her on this. She made the switch from other food to this one easily, and now eagerly looks forward to meals. We highly recommend this product, if a cat is having problems with urinary tract infections.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, my cat can enjoy her meals! My 8-year-old cat Jellybean has had a long history of stomach upset after eating a meal, so much so that she's often referred to as our "serial puker". My veterinarian, Dr. Rachel Bradley, recommended trying Royal Canin Feline Hydrolized Protein dry cat food. What a difference the right food can make! Jellybean now enjoys her meals without the dreaded follow-up vomiting and I can enjoy my sweet Jellybean instead having to figure out how to get the newest vomit stain out of my carpet. THANK YOU, Royal Canin!
