Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great texture I use it for many years now and what I like about it, is the fact, that it is so "solid". I can built with my fingers a little "Pyramid" with it and hide the Pill in there. We need to give our cat a pill every day and she cannot see it in this food. That is just great. And then. Our cat also stopped scratching and sneezing with this food. We love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Barney has been with Royal Canin for most of his life. Diagnosed with IBD since a baby I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this food has been for him. He is now 9 years old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped Save My Cat's Life My 11 year old cat was diagnosed with IBD two years ago and had to undergo surgery. As a result of her condition, she lost a lot of weight and the vet was concerned that she might not gain her weight back. Since using Royal Canin Selected Protein, she has not only gained back her lost weight, but weighs more now than she did before the illness! Her health has returned and we are thankful to have Boo back to her silly self again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picky cat loves this food My cat, pookie, has inflammatory bowel disease and has to be on a very strict diet. She's also a very picky eater and has refused to eat several other foods that we have tried. Pookie loves this food and has managed to maintain her weight and has a beautiful haircoat thanks to this diet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shiny coat! Shiny eyes! This food has extended my cats' lives. Both have chronic illnesses that would have shortened their lives. With the right medication and the Royal Canin both of them have a new lease on life. They're senior cats, but have returned to playing with the laser pointer and their little mice toys. Additionally, they love this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Royal Canin gave my cat a new lease on life! My cat, Minuit, had horrific food allergies. His hair was falling out, he had diarrhea, was losing weight, and obviously wasn't his usual goofy, happy self. He also has a seizure disorder and is on phenobarbital so my vet is a feline specialist who has gotten his seizures under control. The allergies crept up gradually and she kept saying I need to do food testing at home to see what he's reacting to, but I kept trying various higher quality brands hoping he'd improve, which he didn't. The first picture I've included is him at his worst - that white patch on his head is a bald spot!! My little Friar Tuck! He is thin and you can see that his coat looks ratty. Finally I decided "Enough!" and took him off everything and started him on the foods recommended by my vet, Royal Canin Veterinary formulas for food sensivities and - voila! Picture #2 - a fat, happy, robust cat who is as nutty as the day I adopted him! My vet even said she has NEVER seen such a dramatic response to a dietary change. My Minuit loves the venison as well as the duck and rabbit flavors. He also eats the dry duck flavor and the hydrolyzed protein. I have 2 other cats who eat the diet also and they love it as well. Thank you, Royal Canin, for making my beloved cat's life happy again, I am a true believer and a huge fan! Naomi Blake

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food! My kitty has a severe food allergy and can only have high quality proteins and limited ingredients. Since she has been on this food she has gained 2lbs and has had wonderful reviews from our vet. She was once given only a few months to live and it's been almost a year and she is thriving!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for food allergies I have been feeding royal canin veterinary diets for years. I have used several formulas and currently I have a purebred cat who has food sensitivities. She is doing amazing on the venison and potato canned formula.
