Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank you! My KC had colon cancer and this is what the veterinarian at U C Davis prescribed for him. I do believe it helped him live longer along with the chemo. Since he died I have been using this as treats for my other cats. They ask for their treats every day. It is much, much better for them than any "treat" for cats. I read the ingredients on a bag of Temptations one day and threw it out. I would like to add that I'm using the canned PV for my 12 year old cat who is hyperthyroid. It's helping her to gain back the weight she lost. She is also cousin to KC. We lost him July 22, 2014.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scrumptious food for kitties My car, Cream Puff, will soon be 9 years old. When he was a baby, he was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. The vet prescribed this food for him and it has saved his digestive tract. If he eats even one piece of other cat food, he has a flare up. He loves this food, and comes running when he hears me open the bag. It allows him to live pain free and out of misery. Highly recommended!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expensive Cat food I was suggested this brand for our cat. He had been suffering from allergies horribly. I am honestly shocked every time i have to go purchase this food. While it did help his allergies, I pay $70 a bag for cat food. Luckily, i have the means to support this kind of diet for my cat. I just think of all the people and the guilt they must feel when they couldn't make the choice that i can and keep their cat healthy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved our cats' digestive (ie flatulence!) woes! We had adopted two cats from a shelter. Despite feeding good-quality cat food and monitoring their intake, they suffered from terrible gas (that would be able to clear a room and bring tears to your eyes) as well as soft stools that sometimes went over the line to diarrhea. They were on a series of meds that were hard to administer and that didn't completely solve the problem and actually created others. They were eventually diagnosed with two different problems - one a food allergy and the second a gastric condition - and our vet suggested this food for both of them. This food saved the day! Their weight has stabilized, no more diarrhea or "gas attacks," and they both seem much happier and healthier. Their humans are happier too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious Crunchies for my Kitty Your Feline Selected Protein Adult PV dry food is a favorite for my darling kitty. Our vet prescribed this as my cat has allergies, and had lost much fur due to a food reaction. After enjoying your food for a relatively short time, my little guy's coat is growing back, and looks healthy and glossy! He also likes your Selected Protein canned food, which thrills me, because he is one picky eater! Thank you for such terrific, high-quality food!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the cats love it and helping w/dietary issue our little picasso kitty, who had an impact trauma as a foster kitten, splitting her face open... recently had bad news from the vet who was concerned about her teeth... had she not done the surgery on the kitten she would have thought her much older. She put her on your selected protein food (with no free feeding). She loves it! ALL THE OTHER CATS WANT IT TOO! and it seems to be balancing her out better. The issue may still be because she can't close her mouth all the way, but the food is definitely helping. Expensive, yes. But the fact that it's helping means definitely worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy Cat For the first time in years, my cat's digestive track is healthy. He doesn't throw up or get hairballs, and has started to put some weight back on after losing too much over the years. He is 12 years old and has been on this diet for over a year. He is a picky eater, but even so, he eats this as well as the canned wet version. It's a bit pricey, but is comparable to premium cat foods, and is worth the price for having a healthy cat.
