Helps stimulate appetite in cats and encourage eating with aromatic kibble

Helps reduce the risk of skin and GI reactions with proteins that are broken down to a size that’s less likely to be recognized by the immune system

Helps compensate for decreased appetite with a highly palatable energy-dense formula to reduce meal volume

Helps promote kidney function with a precise antioxidant complex, fatty acids from fish oil, low phosphorus, and targeted protein levels

Your vet recommended Royal Canin Renal Support + Hydrolyzed Protein for a reason. This highly palatable dry cat food is specially formulated to care for the kidney health of adult cats under veterinary supervision. The aromatic dry kibble stimulates your cat’s appetite and encourages eating. Hydrolyzed proteins, composed of low-molecular-weight peptides, help minimize the risk of a reaction due to a food sensitivity while also helping support kidney health. And the energy-dense diets provide nutritional support in smaller portions, since cats with reduced kidney function have decreased appetites. Plus, they contain a precise antioxidant complex, fatty acids from fish oil, low phosphorus, and targeted protein levels to help support kidney function.

Brewers rice, hydrolyzed soy protein, chicken fat, dried chicory root, natural flavors, powdered cellulose, vegetable oil, fish oil, calcium carbonate, potassium chloride, fructooligosaccharides, sodium pyrophosphate, calcium sulfate, sodium silico aluminate, DL-methionine, choline chloride, taurine, vitamins [DL-alpha tocopherol acetate (source of vitamin E), niacin supplement, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), D-calcium pantothenate, biotin, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), riboflavin supplement, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), vitamin A acetate, vitamin B12 supplement, folic acid], trace minerals [zinc proteinate, zinc oxide, manganese proteinate, manganous oxide, copper sulfate, ferrous sulfate, sodium selenite, copper proteinate, calcium iodate], GLA safflower oil, marigold extract (Tagetes erecta L.), rosemary extract, preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid.

The only product of it's kind. Under supplied.

This is great product, and the only product of it's kind in the market. However, it is basically never available. This monopoly and lack of supply, with steady demand, allows for truly insane levels of price gouging (as shown in the images below). And if you can't pay, your sick cat suffers. It's a 2 star overall experience.

Only Food My CKD Cat Will Eat Constantly

My 9 year old boy has Stage 4 CKD and was already eating the hydrolyzed protein product because of his sisters IBD. Anyway, after numerous attempts at renal foods this is the only one he took to and loves. He eats it every day and prefers it over every single wet food I could offer him. I do wish this version had a wet food option as that would be better for him and his sister but I am just happy he is eating. Thank you for making this product. I do wish it was available in more locations.

Great Cat Food!

My 5 year old cat has had kidney and gastrointestinal issues for a long time. This cat food was recommended by a vet specialist. He loves it and has been doing so much better. Had tried other renal diet cat foods in the past with poor results. So grateful that you make this wonderful product, and hope you will also make it in wet food form in the future. Thank you!

Food for Sensitive GI and Kidney Issues

The vet recommended Multi when my cat started having digestive upsets and early kidney disease. She is doing much better, but I'm looking forward to RC developing Multi in wet food as my senior cat needs more hydration. She was on RC Gastro Hi Energy, but it has 1.5% Phosphorus---can RC take that one and lower the phosphorus, and hydrolyze the protein to make it wet Multi??? That would be the answer to our dreams.

CKD, IBD, and Dental Malocclusion Cat!!

My 8 year old cat has chronic kidney disease (CKD) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). She has been on this diet for almost two years now. In addition to CKD and IBD, my cat has dental malocclusion and she is unable to eat dry food. My solution has been to grind the kibbles and add water. I HOPE THAT IN THE NEAR FUTURE ROYAL CANIN comes up with the canned wet formula for the Feline Multifunction Renal and Hydrolyzed Protein diet. This is the only diet that I have found to suit my cat's health needs and taste preference.

My Cat Loves the taste and feels better!

Our 12yr old cat has kidney disease and irritable bowl syndrome. For years we have been searching for a food that she could digest or work for her IBS. FINALLY after taking our cat to a new vet this was recommended. A complete life saver and she loves it! Her IBS has cleared up no more diarrhea and her energy has returned! She is even gaining her weight back. I am so glad for this food..

Great product for senior diabetic cat

Our 16 yr old Patches was recently diagnosed with manageable diabetes but had food allergies. Her skin was scabby and she was miserable. The vet pulled out your product guide and we found this which has greatly improved her coat and weight back to normal.

This food came highly recommended by my vet for my cat with kidney and heart problems. I would like to give it 5 stars but I often have a difficult time finding it. It is also a bit pricey. The cat who needs this food has 6 siblings who love it and he is willing to share with them. My cats are older and several are on Royal Canin food.
