Canine Urinary SO® Moderate Calorie Dry Dog Food

Royal Canin Urinary SO Moderate Calorie is a veterinary-exclusive dry dog food for dogs prone to weight gain with urinary health concerns

The benefits

  • Helps dissolve pure struvite stones and helps prevent calcium oxalate stones
  • Moderate calorie content (10% less calories than Royal Canin Canine Urinary SO dry dog food) for ideal weight maintenance
  • Lowers the risk of crystal formation using RSS methodology for bladder health

Product description

This veterinary-exclusive dry dog food was developed to nutritionally support your adult dog’s urinary tract and bladder health. It increases the amount of urine your dog produces to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Moderate calorie content (10% less than Royal Canin Urinary SO dry dog food) helps them maintain a healthy weight. Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is used to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. Lower urinary tract issues may be a recurring concern for some dogs. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your dog on this urinary dog food for long-term urinary support. And ask them about the right Royal Canin wet dog food and treats to complement your dog’s diet.

Need to have an interactive feeding guide.

My dog desired weight is inbetween the weights given on the bag. She is also overweight, and I am trying to figure out how much to feed her to loose weight at a healthy way. It would be great if there were an interactive guide to give the dogs preferred weight and current weight, choose dry or can food, and have the result tell you how much per day to feed.

Good foos

My dog is doing great on the food. Was on normal S/O but had pancreatitis so have now switched to moderate calorie. My only issue is that it only comes in 6.5kg bag here in Ireland and it’s very difficult to open. There’s apparently a seal but I end up cutting it open.

My dog has been on this formula dog food for 5 years to keep him from getting stones. Unfortunately he now has another stone. I would still recommend this product because it did hold him off from getting more stones.

Part of a good diet

One of my Shih Tzu dogs was put on this food several years ago because she had crystals in her urine. It turned out both of my dogs loved the food so it has become a staple in their diet. It seems they enjoy the taste of it and I am glad to have some moderate calorie kibble in their diet along with the other things they eat.

Great food!

Our 4 year old Berner loves this - no more urinary infections. Bonus - we don't seem to have any 'burned spots' on our lawn!

Saved our dog

Our dog was full of stones the vet said 8000 for surgery and icu my husband had just lost his job in Jan this was Feb 14. We thought we were going to have to have her put down. But then they said we could try this food and antibiotics. Thank God for your food! It saved her life ! She will have to be on it forever now but it desolved the small stones in a matter of weeks and the large ones in a year ! Now she is happy and healthy! Thank you Royal Canin! You saved our girls! ❤❤

Healthy Dog, Happy Owner

My female English Bulldog had urinary infection issues for the first several years of her life. Vet after vet would treat the symptoms, but would fail to find a solution. Finally, our 5th Vet suggested Royal Canine Urinary SO Moderate Diet. Wow! Thankfully, we found the answer to her problem. Not only did this end the urinary infections, but our picky eater loves it, and it got her weight down to where the Vet wanted it. She is 8 1/2 years old now and continues to be infection free and healthy. Thank you Royal Canine!

Our dog Lola started on this food seceral years ago due to chronic inflamation in her urinary tract and the formation of crystals in her urine. Between the dog food and medication she has not had flare ups and she seems to really like the food.
