The Labrador Retriever is a breed that tends to eat quickly without chewing its food. The cylinder shaped kibble of the LABRADOR RETRIEVER PUPPY formula has been designed to slow the rate of ingestion and encourage the Labrador Retriever puppy to chew his food.

As your puppy grows, he will experience big changes and new discoveries. During this key period, the puppy’s immune system develops gradually. LABRADOR RETRIEVER PUPPY helps support your puppy’s natural defenses with an exclusive complex of antioxidants including vitamin E.

Precise mineral content (calcium and phosphorus) to support the development of strong bones and healthy joints and a balanced energy intake for healthy weight gain in Labrador Retriever puppies.

Formulated with high quality protein (L.I.P.*) and prebiotics to support digestive health and a balanced intestinal flora, contributing to optimal stool quality.                              *Protein selected for its very high digestibility.

100% Complete and Balanced Nutrition

LABRADOR RETRIEVER PUPPY supports optimal development of the immune system, bones and joints, skin and coat, and gastrointestinal system, while the customized kibble encourages chewing to satisfy the appetite and improve digestion.

Too rich--large breed better tolerated

Puppies love the taste--absoluetly devour it. Too rich for them though--gives soft stool and diarrhea. Mixing with large breed puppy food until bag gone (too expensive to waste!). Will go back to large breed puppy food. 2 purebred English labs ( 3 months and 11 months). Same issue with both pups.

I use Adult product AND Puppy product for my 2!

I switched my black Labrador to Royal Canin to ensure she got the nutrition she needed without making her chubby. She’s in OUTSTANDING health. I will be starting my new Labrador puppy on the puppy version next month. (Are coupons available?)

Not a good option for my puppy

Unfortunately, switching to this from the Royal Canin starter food did not work out for my puppy. As recommended, the switch was done slowly over several days, but as the percentage of this food increased, the puppy's poo became increasingly loose.

Designed for Labs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Raised our first litter on Royal Canin for Labrador puppies. They developed beautifully, strong and well developed. The food is designed for the Labrador which tend to swallow their food whole, no chewing. The kibble has a whole in the middle allowing for better breakdown and digestion. I sent a bag of Royal Canin with each puppy to their forever home with the recommendation to continue the pup on this food. My newest female pup is now being raised on Royal Canin as well.
