When we bought our Shih Tzu puppy, our breeder gave us a bag of Royal Canin puppy food that she feeds the dogs. Our puppy loves this food; and our vet raved about how healthy she is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I began feeding the Royal Canin Shih Tzu puppy food to my nursing mothers and their puppies about a year ago. The small sized kibble was easy for the puppies to consume and softened quickly when water was added. Perhaps the thing that impressed me most was that I could feed my adult dogs and the puppies less quantity to maintain the desired weight and condition (i.e. I could feed 3/4 of a cup of this food when I would have to feed 1 cup of a different brand to achieve the same results). This communicates to me that the food has a higher nutrient density in a form that is highly digestible to my mothers and puppies. The frequency and size of stool is smaller (less waste- another sign of highly digestible content) and my dogs are beautiful and healthy. While I initially tried this brand of food because of a promotion, I continue to feed it because the results are tangible.

I had no idea this product was available. The breeder said great food and no diarrhea! I have given this to her ever since. She is on her last bag of puppy food and I just purchased a large bag of big girl shih tuz for her. She is growing strong and healthy. Thank you for taking care of my Tootsie

He is now 10 years old and doesn't have alot of teeth so I went back to the puppy formula cause its smaller in size. Will probably go to canned soon. Great product!
