[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I adopted an abandoned and abused 12 year old chihuahua from a rescue agency.
She so bravely survived a very tough time that I promised her that for the rest of her life she would be loved and valued as she deserves.
Her veterinarian recommended Royal Canin Mature 8+ canned as her best choice for health and well being. My LOL loves it and is now happy and thriving!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because my 12 year old terrier has become very finicky in his old age. Now he runs around and acts like a puppy in anticipation of being fed. He absolutely loves it.

There are very few choices for small/toy senior canned food on the market. Science diet has rice in it & its dry and if you have a dog like I've got she has no teeth and older she chokes on the rice. This food is a little off almost like a pate, and it's nice and wet and not only is she finding it easy to eat it's also makes her hungry so she's getting what she needs, but it is one of the more expensive foods.

Our vet recommended this when our 12 year old Boston became a picky eater due to bad teeth and age. We had tried many other brands of food. Finally she will eat! We started with wet only which she devoured, but now we mix with the dry. She loves it that way too!

13 Nov 2015Great Mixer to Stimulate Appetite!
I currently have a foster Shih-tzu, who is a picky eater, despite being offered other brands of premium kibble that most dogs go nuts over. She recently had major surgery involving both a spay and a massive hernia. Post surgery, she refused to eat, to the point of vomiting bile, even when adding human food to her kibble. I bought her some Royal Canin Adult Shih-tzu kibble, which she nibbled at, but was lukewarm about. In desperation, I then bought some Royal Canin Mature 8+ canned food to mix into the kibble because it mentioned having an appetite stimulator on the label. All I can say is WOW!! She's now diving into her two meals a day with gusto. I am so thankful I found this wonderful product!

I have a female yorkie that will turn 16 this year. She is the love of our lives. She is in good health for her age, but is SUPER picky about her food. We have spent a lot of time and money searching for the perfect food for her. This is it! She would go days without eating and now she is eating daily and has gained some weight. We are so happy with this product.

I purchased this product on the advice of my Vet. My Chihuahua is slightly overweight with some arthritis in her back legs. She is also a rather picky eater. She has now been on the Royal Canin Mature for 6 weeks and just loves the taste. She has lost weight and her energy has improved. I am so happy with the results and feel comfortable know that she is getting a quality dog food.

I adopted a senior dog on March 17, 2015. It has been a battle to get her to eat dog food since that first day. As I walked passed Royal Canin in the store I just happened to notice the words "appetite stimulator" on the can. I thought to myself that it was worth trying. I wish it came in a chunk form and not just a pate but I just use the fork and 'cut' it into pieces.
