At 12 years of age a cat enters the second phase of aging. During this phase, the aging process begins to accelerate and signs of aging may become more visible. AGING SPAYED/NEUTERED 12+ offers targeted nutrients to help support an aging cat with a specialized combination of antioxidants, including vitamins C and E, lutein, taurine, green tea extracts and lycopene, as well as anti-inflammatory omega 3s (EPA and DHA), glucosamine and chondroitin. AGING SPAYED/NEUTERED 12+ also helps to support a calm disposition in an aging cat through an optimal level of the amino acid tryptophan.

The reduced energy requirements of a spayed or neutered cat do not change as it enters its aging years. AGING SPAYED/NEUTERED 12+ provides optimal nutrition for an aging spayed or neutered cat, while respecting its lower energy requirements. AGING SPAYED/NEUTERED 12+ is formulated to help minimize the accumulation of excess fat in the body and promote lean muscle mass through a high protein and lower caloric content. Supplemental L-carnitine (200 mg/kg min) helps to burn excess fat stored, while an adapted feeding guide and unique kibble design help ensure appropriate feeding amounts, contributing to a healthy body weight in your cat.

Declining kidney function is one of the most common issues affecting aging cats. AGING SPAYED/NEUTERED 12+ is formulated with a controlled phosphorous content, as well as higher levels of EPA and DHA omega 3 fatty acids to help support aging kidneys and maintain healthy kidney function.

MY GORGEOUS SENIOR KITTY

I acquired a rescue cat last year. After 52 years if horses I have my first kitty. I adore her. I took her to a vet who was recommended to me and he suggested Royal Canin Gastro Intestinal food. Lily has thrived on it. She has gained 1.5 lbs and her coat is like mink! She loves it and eats is all. I strongly suggest you look into it.

What a difference!

My 15 1/2 year old cat tested for stage 2 kidney disease and other problems in May 2018. Since October 2018 he has been on Royal Canin Aging 12+ (combination of canned loaf style and dry food). My cat just had blood work done and all numbers are better! He is no more than beginning stage 1 kidney disease now, possibly less. Anemia is no longer showing, and all other functions are great! Royal Canin is more expensive, but it is well worth the cost. My vet and I are both delighted!!

Tasty for Miss Timmers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After searching for remedy for issues dear Miss Timmers was having, I found many stellar reviews online. She has nibbled several varieties & has loved them all. Turns out the scent, shape & size are all aspects she considers. While she enjoys her crunchies, I am confident her gut is being well fed.

Excellent food for cats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats have always been fed on Royal Cain food. My eldest cats are now 16, 13, 12, and 11 years I have had these from kittens and theyvare all in excellent health, lovely thick glossy coats, still interested in life and still very playful. They are like cats less than half their ages. I put this all down to the good nourishing really tasty Royal Canin food. Also in the food it is all good ingredients, none of which are unsafe for human consumption along with the low salt. All contributes to healthily happy long living cats. I would not consider giving my precious cats anything else. They mean too much to me.

Fixed the explosive diarrhea. Very palatable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Former stray cat, old, toothless, FIV+, showing diarrhea for about a year got better with RC dry food. This was the brand that fixed the diarrhea without giving him constipation and that he eagerly eats. If we go back to more inexpensive brands the diarrhea comes back. Unfortunately he does not like the canned version of this food

My cat loves this food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My senior kitty has been eating this stuff for years and absolutely loves it. It's easily digestible for her sensitive stomach, and she absolutely loves the taste. She just turned 14 and still has loads of frisky energy and plays constantly. Royal Canin offers such a wide variety of cat products that it really shows how much they care about your pet.

Highest fiber content I've ever found

Highest fiber and my cats like. Actually saw a hairball in feces for the first time in my life and I'm a 58 yr old cat loving owner & petsitter.
