Great but always out of stock

This is a great product that has helped my 18.5 year male cat but it's so hard to find!!

I am sorry to learn that you are having difficulty acquiring this product. Rest assured the product is not discontinued. At this time the veterinarian exclusive products, such as the multi-functions, are only purchasable from a veterinary clinic.

One of a kind. IMPOSSIBLE to find.

Saved my cats life. Issue is finding it. NOWHERE can you find it online in the US. I’ve only been able to find going store to store. Price changes drastically each time. However, I think it’s kept my cat alive so I’ll go broke searching for this stuff..

Can't find it anywhere

Only reason I give it a 3 is it is ridiculously hard to find, can't even get it through the Royal Canin shop.

Awesome for my kitty with IBD

We have a kitty who has had diarrhea for years. We tried different sensitive stomach diets, probiotics, and daily antibiotics. The only thing that worked was daily antibiotics, which were a nightmare to administer and made it hard to go on vacation. Then he developed kidney issues and lost a bunch of weight, so our vet had a consult with Royal Canin about what might help given his various issues. They recommended this food. Within a day he was having the most normal poops he's ever had. He has gained his weight back and loves eating this food. I don't exaggerate when I say I got teary eyed when I realized we had a solution to health issues that have been making all of us miserable for years. My only beef is that it's worrisome when it's out of stock or on backorder, because there's no alternative for cats who eat this food. I hope the company is prioritizing production for special formulations like this.

Grateful for this diet

First, thank you for making this diet. Not sure where we would be without it. My cat has been on it for two years and it’s probably helped save her life. However, the consistency was way off on this last bag. There are a lot of very large pieces that look like multiple kibbles were extruded together and not separated. After two years of consistent kibbles I am wondering what’s up? Cats are pretty picky about shape and cats with renal and IBD even more so. This food isn’t cheap so if 10% of the kibbles are deformed like this and rejected by the cat it adds up. Still giving it 5 stars because it’s keeping her alive and she eats it well most of the time.

Different Formula Between Batches?

My cat has been on this for years and it has been fine. Last two weeks she refused to eat it. After trying a number of different things to get her to eat, I tried opening another bag for her and the two bags are completely different in color and shape. This new bag is a lighter shade of orange/yellow and smaller kibble. As soon as she got into this new bag she began eating again. I'm not sure what is going on with the consistency of the formula, but since this is the only food of its kind it is concerning if it's not always the same. Overall it has help her immensely, but it's expensive and difficult to find.

Cat Hates New Formula

I wholeheartedly agree with Csmith. My cat used to love this cat food and it took forever for us to find something she would eat. We would buy several bags at a time since it was so hard to find. Now that we opened a bag of the reformulated food she HATES it and doesn’t want to eat. Bring back the old formula.

Helps with his GI issues and Renal Support!

We were on the moderate calorie go support diet due to some tummy troubles. When Oliver was diagnosed with pre-renal issues, I was beside myself. I started doing all the research and wanted a food to support his GI issues (he was throwing up all the time), as well as start an early support for the renal concerns. Since switching he's been an even more healthy cat. I've never been happier with a pet food before.

Formula change

Why did you have to change the formula? My cat hates it now. It’s so hard to find product like this and then for her to also like it so she doesn’t waste away and starve herself? Even harder. And then you cheap out and change formulas. And a while ago there were tons of reviews like mine that appear to be gone? Change back the formula!

My 16-year old cat loves it

My cat has renal issues and this is the only food that keeps him well. All other foods make him vomit constantly. I would have rated it a 4 but the constant supply issue is a huge problem. You would think that Royal Canin will care but apparently, they don't since this shortage has been going on for quite a while. It's time for Royal Canin to get their production issues under control. Some retailers are bumping the price up to 150% more which is unacceptable. At the end, the cat pays the price.
