Product change

My miniature schnauzer had eaten the green label kibble for years with no problem. Change the formula and he has thrown up more than he’s digested. Schnauzers can’t tolerate the additional fat you’ve added per the response I received from your customer service.

Bloated, constipated and wind

Our female Shichon (6 years old) was diagnosed with bladder crystals. Since going on to this food she is constipated, bloated, having very bad wind and is clearly in discomfort. Back to the vets for their next suggestion.... We have used Satiety and Weight Loss to keep her at a healthy weight and these have been ok but this Urinary SO dry food is making her really not herself at all. We tried the wet version - made her violently sick!

Change in formula!!

Okay...So my miniature schnauzer who is 11 years old has been on this food FOR YEARS without any issues (4 years to be exact). She has never pooped inside and her stool has been nearly perfect. As soon as the gold label rolled out I've come home to vomit, diarrhea, and an overall depressed dog! This is very upsetting because she is in her golden years and should'nt have to be dealing with projectile diarrhea!! I finally threw in the towel tonight and am transitioning her to a different food. NEVER again will I buy a Royal Canin product and intend to return the rest of the dog food I have at my house!

New Formula - sick dog

My dog has been on the new formula for about 7 days and it has made her sick. Up all night with stomach pains and excessive gas. Previously used the green label can for 4 years without issue. I am so disappointed.

So far so good

We were feeding our boy the satiety dry s/o formula for approximately 8 months when we noticed that he was having difficulty emptying his bladder and having accidents in the house. Tests showed that he had bladder crystals which, according to our vet, the satiety formula can cause this to happen especially if your pet has had crystals in the past. After just ordering a brand new bag of satiety, I had to get him on the urinary s/o moderate immediately, no time for transition. I expected that he would have digestive issues with the abrupt change, but all went well. A month later his urine had no crystals and the ph was perfect. He will be on this for the rest of his life, he will be 11 this year. I haven't had the need to order more since the formula change and am hoping that we still get the same results with it.

Change for the worse!!

So my Yorkie was doing fine with the old green label formula. New Gold label arrived and I noticed not only was it one ounce less than the green label but my yorkie also got sick after eating and is still sick with diarrhea and excessive bowel movements! He does not finish his food (new formula). Big chunks and smells different than old formula green label. So basically we are paying for less product in the can (gotta increase those profit margins) and a formula that now makes my dog sick ! No thanks.. you just lost a long standing customer..

Dog stopped eating it after years of being on it

My dog has been on this diet for years. On her third time eating from the new bag, she vomited it out (twice that day) and I cannot get her to eat it no matter what I mix it with. It's gotten to the point that if she even smells it in the food, she will not eat the food. This food is expensive (which I get why), but now I have a huge bag that she will not eat. I now see from another review that the formula changed. Please recommend what I need to do...I don't want her to form urinary crystals again.

Recipe Changed

My boxer had an extreme amount of crystals 3 years ago and this food was a saving grace. Now suddenly she has gas, diarrhea, bacterial infection, and scooting her butt. I called and they admittedly changed the recipe. So disappointed. Why would you ever do a thing when you have so many clients depending on this prescription vet food to keep our dogs healthy and NOT say anything. My vet didn't even know about the change. Shame on you Royal Canin, thought you were a better, responsible, wholesome company.
