If you have some money to waste, go for it

I live with a friend who has a cat with urinary problem so I had to stop the purina hydrolyzed one to go with this RC food and this has to be a bad joke. The purina one was working so good on my cat's allergies and as soon as I transitioned to this formula, her allergies came back. Cause what a great idea to had chicken fat in an formula for allergic cats! As third ingredient. How a good way to ruin and contaminate a106$ food! I am so disappointed.

Why Can't I Get This Anywhere???

My three cats are prescribed this food; I have been feeding it to them for years, and suddenly, I cannot get this absolutely anywhere. The supply has been getting worse and worse over the last year. It's not available in any veterinary clinic I call and nowhere online. What is happening??? It's not steel; it has nothing to do with Covid or War. What is your problem, Royal Canin? Why is this cat food impossible to get? Why can I not even get an expected timeline on when it will be available again? You have had a short supply for well over a year. Are you doing anything about this, or are you just happy about the high demand and planning to continue leading your customers with a random available bag every three months? You have wasted a ton of my time over CAT FOOD. Either discontinue it or produce it. Be a cat food company. Solve your production problems. Tell me what I’m supposed to do. Should I wait some more? Will you start producing this product properly, or will this forever be how you sell this product? When will you have this problem solved? I need to know this so I can figure out how to properly feed my cats going foward. They are suffering from your complete lack of consistancy. Have a tiny bit of respect for your customers and their time.

Serves purpose, PLEASE MAKE WET VERSION

My male cat has urinary problems as well as digestive problems. This food has stabilized him for now and I’m grateful for that. However, I’m far from the only customer who would like to see a wet food option as well. He was prescribed this food by the vet along with medicine but it was extremely difficult to mix with dry kibble.

Help me FIND this food!

It works for our senior (16 yr old) cat with a history of bladder issues and IBD. But I am moving to another state (Kansas) and cannot find this food *anywhere* there, either in a retailer or online.
Royal Canin response
I am very sorry. Our multi function diets are available for purchase only through vet clinics at the moment.

Make a Wet Version!!! Please!!!!

This product has not irritated my cat with IBD who now needs to have a food with a S/O to reduce the risks of crystals since he has become prone to blocking. please consider making a wet version of this food, wet food is ideal for cats and there is no other company that currently makes a hypo food with an S/O index.

My cat needs this food!

My cat has to have this food. It’s the only prescription diet that’s worked for her that also addresses her sensitive tummy. She’s 18 and likely wouldn’t survive another surgery if her stones come back. But I can’t depend on this company to produce the food she needs. I can’t tell you how many times it’s been out of stock or back ordered over the last 3 years. And yes, I do believe the quality has declined in their products. My other cat gets a half can of wet food with her kibble and there are disgusting chunks of fat in the can that used to not be there. I’ve noticed diarrhea issues with both and they eat different foods from this company. I used to be able to justify spending money for this very expensive brand. I can no longer do this since I can’t trust them to regularly produce the prescription food one of my cats needs, and because their quality has really tanked. So disappointed in Royal Canin.
Royal Canin response
I am sorry to learn that you are having difficulty acquiring this product. Rest assured the product is not discontinued. We apologize for the frustration. We are seeing some intermittent out of stock due to high demand. This formula has not changed over the last two years

Production Issues

I have THREE cats on this extremely expensive cat food. The positive: it works! Their bladder stones dissolved! The negative: it’s out of stock constantly and has been for a very long time!! It’s extremely Frustrating. Royal Canin, DO BETTER!!

Causes horrible diarrhea

I have been giving my cat this food for a long time. Now, it gives him terrible, smelly diarrhea. They must have changed the formula. I don’t understand how food that’s supposed to be easy to digest and process is giving my cat diarrhea. I spent a lot of money going to the vet to make sure nothing else was wrong. And this was after buying bag after bag, hoping they had a weird batch…over and over again. Stop changing the formula without telling us. Historically, this is the one and only food my cat could eat without vomiting. But now, I can’t buy this food anymore. I have no idea what I’m going to do.

1st bag great; 2nd bag, cat now has diarrhea

My cat did well on the first bag of food. Bought another bag recently and now she's having horrible smelling diarrhea. Nothing has changed in her diet except this new bag of food. She's seen the vet and they've ruled out any health issues. She really needs this food. I hope it's just a bad batch.

Has anyone else recently had issues with diarrhea?

My cat has eaten this food for over 2 years with great success. Now, I’m on my third bag of this food that looks and smells off and causes diarrhea. Multiple vet visits and hundreds of dollar tell me it isn’t something else causing the issues. Is anyone else having this problem? Have they changed the formula?
