[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for our mature yorkiepoo to help keep his weight under control. He loves to eat so we have to be careful what we give him and how much. This food seems to help and he loves to eat it which is the important thing. Would definitely buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was feeding a "bouquet" brand of dog food until I heard all the new about dilated cardiomyopathy and spoke with my vet about this very serious concern. My vet did tons of research on this subject and recommend five different brands of food that have many years of research and are WASVA approved. I also did some research on my own and chose Royal Canin and I am so happy I did! While I was at the pet store trying to decide which brand of RC to purchase I called the toll free number on the back of one of the bags. I was very impressed with the knowledge and help I was offered by RC staff. I am relieved and have piece of mind knowing I am feeding my Pomeranian the best food for him and happy that he loves it so much! I recommend this food to everyone who asks me what I am feeding this beautiful boy :) He is called a "throwback" Pom due to his size - he's 22# (Poms use to be 35# miniature sled dogs - a fact many people do not know) I call him "original" because I would never throw him back ;) My vet says his weight is perfect and he is happy and healthy - what more could a dog owner ask for!

Weight control with taste

We've been feeding our two dogs the Royal Canin Weight Care in gel for going on two years and both still get excited to eat their morning and evening meals.

I tried her with many varieties and she chose Royal Canin as her favorite. I did a little research and found that it is one of the best foods you can feed your dog and that it is also sold by many veterinarians, which also made me feel good about feeding Royal Canin to my dog.
