We've been using this food for our cat who is about 17 years old. He was slowly losing weight until he started eating the Recovery food. He goes through about 1/2 can per day, in addition to his wet and dry prescription kidney care foods. We feed the cat both the Recovery food and his kidney care food because we need to balance between being easy on his kidneys and the need to stabilize his weight. I noticed a better appetite and more energy in the cat after starting the Recovery food. He now acts like and has been mistaken for a 5 year old cat. I'm very satisfied with everything about the Recovery food, except the price.

Easily to administer through a syringe.
We have been using this for about 6 weeks now. It's consistency is nice - mixed with about 3/4 can of water, it is easily administered through a syringe. We had been using 1 can twice daily, but with my current research it appears that we should be using 4-5 cans daily. That's what we will try to gain some weight.

My very old dog stopped eating for no reason, had lost a lot of weight, and muscle tone. Although he's not convalescent, my vet suggested to feed him small amounts of the "recovery" wet food mixed with his regular dry food. What a miracle...! He loves it! He eats now like hadn't done in a while and putting some needed weight.
