Royal Canin has been serving Canadian families since our brand launched in Canada in 1999. To solidify our commitment to the Canadian market, the Royal Canin Factory and Canadian Head Office were built in Guelph, Ontario in 2008.

Our factory makes safe and precise dry cat and dog nutrition for over 120 veterinary and 250 healthy pet SKUs. Since 2010, our on-site Laboratory has been evaluating Royal Canin formulas for safety, quality, nutritional precision and performance.

Our North American supply chain includes local sourcing when possible. All products have the country of manufacturing clearly marked beside the best before date code on the lower half of the back of each dry package. Formulas manufactured in our Guelph facility will have “Canada” listed. Scroll down to see an example of the back of the bag.

We employ over 250 associates across Canada, including 120 dedicated to making our Royal Canin dry formulas. Office associates are encouraged to bring their dogs to work, with full access to our associate dog park. And we’ve been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 18 years and Top GTA Employer for 19 consecutive years.¹
