Benefits: Glucomodulation / High protein / Low starch / S/O index ROYAL CANIN® Diabetic is specifically formulated to help in the management of glycemia in adult cats with diabetes mellitus. Choosing an adapted diet with a high protein, low starch, and adapted fibre content helps to minimise surges in blood glucose after a meal. This formula contains a high level of protein to help support and maintain a healthy muscle mass. This formula contains a reduced level of starch to help manage post-prandial glycemia in diabetic cats. This diet also promotes a urinary environment unfavourable to the development of both struvite and calcium oxalate stones. As part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Range, it is important that this product is only given to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. Transitioning your pet from one diet to another should be a smooth and gradual process over a 7–10-day period. Please ensure you follow the correct rationing amount, especially when mix-feeding. ROYAL CANIN® DIABETIC thin slices in gravy is a complete dietetic feed for cats formulated to regulate glucose supply (Diabetes Mellitus). This feed contains a low level of rapid glucosereleasing carbohydrates. RECOMMENDATIONS: It is recommended that a veterinarian's opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use. Initially feed DIABETIC for up to 6 months.

03 אוג 2023Inconsistent quality with small black flakes found
While we have noticed some inconsistent quality in the past this last batch is particularly bad. Rigid black flakes of some material have turned up in the cans from 4 cases we have received with the date "20MAY2025" and the batch # "321B2RSD03". Additionally the food in this batch described as "thin slices" appear more as minced mush when previously they were solid consistent sized chunks in gravy.

Our cat, Max was diagnosed with diabetes, his gloco number was 470. All the foods we bought did nothing to bring down his glucose numbers. The vets assistant recommended Royal Canin Glycobalance. Max has been eating Royal Canin Glycobalance for about a month. Max not only loves the food but today we took him to the vet and now his gluco number is 88. He is running and playing again.

A couple of months ago I got a notification from my vet that RC was changing the formula of this food and to let them know if my cat experienced any issues, well just one, he refuses to eat it now. He has always been a voracious eater but he took one whiff of this food and just turned his head away. He used to love this food. I’m so disappointed, not sure what I’m going to feed him now.

Vet recommended Glycobalance wet foot. Cat only likes sliced beef in gravy. Stores don't carry it. Just opened case of morsels. New redesigned cans do not have gravy. Can will not eat it. What do we do?

I have to say my cat likes eating it but i read reviews that it still has more carbs than other wet cat foods which is not good for diabetic cats. Why do you not change this? There are other brands that are better in this sense and have a good. Royal Canin NFE is 16% when there are many out there with 6%

I recently adopted a diabetic cat who was receiving insulin twice daily. With guidance from my Vet, and this diet, he no longer needs insulin injections! Thank you!

Jasper's vet suggested Royal Canin Glycobalance Morsels after a rough bout of pancreatitis. He is a fussy cat and he enjoys eating. I was worried about his transition from Royal Canin Urinary SO, moderate calorie. No need to worry-he changed easily and remains happy and healthy. Thank you for taking care of my dear companion!

Needed something high in fiber for my geriatric cat. When he stopped eating a competitors canned food we tried this and he loves it!

Cat loves it but my cat is on a larger size and he needs more than this tiny can. I wish there were bigger cans for him.
