Royal Canin has always been committed towards promoting and maintaining the healthy development of animals, through its nutritive products – which are developed in collaboration with leading scientific, veterinary and behavioral experts. The core of our principles has always been to make the world a better place for pets and pet owners because we believe in putting the needs of our pets first.

We were deeply disconcerted to learn of certain unfounded allegations made against one of our products, Royal Canin Mini Starter and linking it to the unfortunate demise of a Husky puppy. Though no such complaint was directly received by Royal Canin, we immediately conducted a full investigation at internal and external laboratories as well as examined the full production and traceability records for the batch. All the preliminary results confirmed full compliance with domestic and international regulatory norms for food safety and quality standards. In addition, we have also examined the veterinary report where the puppy was treated, and had discussions with the concerned veterinarian to determine that the cause of death was not the consumption of a Royal Canin product. All our products are manufactured on the basis of the highest international and regulatory norms and are in full compliance with all safety and quality standards. Despite such care on our part, if we are ever faced with a complaint, we have a robust system in place to deal with any such complaints / issues, which includes conducting thorough investigations, at an external and internal level.

We reiterate that the heart of everything we do is the health and well-being of the cats and dogs and we would not produce any products that have not been scientifically and nutritionally tested. We therefore, request all our loyal customers, breeders, associated parties, pet owners, to disregard any claims to the contrary and continue maintaining the confidence they have in the Royal Canin brand and the high quality of its products.
