Introducing The ‘Royal Canin Club’ App, Your Mobile Guide To Pet Care

Royal Canin Malaysia empowers pet owners in creating a better world for cats and dogs

KUALA LUMPUR, 17th August 2020 – Royal Canin Malaysia has launched the ‘Royal Canin Club’ and they want you to be a part of it! This brand new app is designed to educate and guide pet owners in Malaysia about the best practices of pet care through informative and engaging content on topics like diet and nutrition, digestive health, neonatal to ageing care, skin and coat care, pet training and behaviours, and their general wellbeing.

Royal Canin Club is specifically designed to create a better world for cats and dogs in a holistic manner by empowering pet owners. It aims to educate pet owners to make informed choices for their pets from every aspect of their development.

“Owning a pet in Malaysia is widely popular and most of us either grew up with a pet or grew up wanting one. However, not all pet owners are properly equipped with the right education on pet care. So we designed the Royal Canin Club app to serve as a mobile guide to all pet owners to access with convenience and ease no matter where they are and create a better world for cats and dogs,” said Dmitriy Sokolov, Market Head of Royal Canin Malaysia.

As Malaysians are spending more time at home due to the ongoing pandemic, pets have been a great companion to help pet owners cope with the uncertainties. This app comes at a good time to help and empower pet owners to learn more about their furry friends.

There are approximately 2.2 million cats and 1.2 million dogs under the care of pet owners in Malaysia. The top breeds of cats include Persian, Siamese, and British Shorthair while the most common breeds of dogs are German Shepherd, Pomeranian, and Rottweiler.

“Pets have their own genetic dispositions based on the breed, which makes them more prone to certain health conditions. That is why it is important to learn about your pets and understand what are the aspects of their health that would require special attention. Our app will share tailored content with our pet owners to match the breed and special requirements of their furry friends so that owners can make better and informed choices for their pets,” Dmitriy added.

A seamless and convenient guide for your pet

Royal Canin Club is programmed to deliver a personalised user experience to pet owners when they fill in their pet profiles and answer some simple questions about its breed, type of fur, age, and pre-existing conditions. The app would then generate content to match their pets.

The best part of the app? Pet owners can collect points every time they fulfill a task on the app. This includes filling in their pet profile, completing surveys and answering the quizzes. New users can also sign up for the app with a referral code from our retail partners to earn points. Later this year, pet owners will also be able to collect points on the app with their Royal Canin purchases.

Upon registering for the Royal Canin Club app, pet owners will be rewarded with a welcome voucher and gift set which they can redeem at any of Royal Canin’s participating retail partners nationwide. Meanwhile, pet owners can also use their points to redeem rewards and Royal Canin products which will be delivered to their doorstep.

The Royal Canin Club app is available on App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Sign up to redeem a welcome voucher and gift set (while stocks last)!
