Helps dissolve and prevent pure struvite stones and helps prevent calcium oxalate stones

Lowers the risk of crystal and stone formation using RSS methodology for bladder health

Highly palatable hydrolyzed proteins help to reduce skin and GI reactions that may be a result of food sensitivities to common proteins found in pet food

Supports healthy digestion and reinforces the skin barrier with nutrients to support and maintain healthy skin

Whether this is your dog’s first urinary issue or he has developed food sensitivities and needs ongoing urinary care, your vet recommended Royal Canin Urinary SO + Hydrolyzed Protein for a reason. This veterinary-exclusive dry dog food was developed to nutritionally support your adult dog’s urinary tract and bladder health. It’s designed with Relative SuperSaturation (RSS) methodology to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. It also features highly digestible hydrolyzed protein, which helps reduce the risk of stomach and skin signs in dogs with food sensitivities. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your dog on this urinary dog food with Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Treats for long-term urinary tract support.

Constantly Out of Stock

Ask your vet for an alternative because this is about the 5th time we have had a "backorder" of more than a month and had to scramble all over town or online trying to find a place that still has any in stock. The manufacturer offers no information on status or help. Serious production issues and whoever is in charge of production and supply should seek other employment.

Cannot find anywhere

This is the only food my 14 year dog can eat. We ran out over a month ago and are feeding him something else the vet gave him that is only urinary. This is ridiculous. It has been on back order for months with no word on when it will be in stock or if you can mix the urinary and the hyrodlized together.

Vet Tech Approved!

I've been a tech for almost 10 years now, so of course I had to have a problem child. Loki was on HP for years, and did great with it. After some routine bloodwork + urinalysis, we found some crystals in his urine. He's never been a big drinker, so I wasn't surprised. I rechecked the u/a just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, and we've been on urinary HP ever since. His most recent u/a looked great, and he had no crystals to be found! I've also loved Royal Canin and talk to everyone about them!

Do not communicate

Food is great. I just don't understand the lack of communication with costumers or retailers to let them know that formulas changed or will not be available anymore. People who have dogs with issues can't just switch the food instantaneously...

Impossible to Find

This food is almost impossible to find. It's has been back ordered for what feels like forever now, chewy doesn't carry it, and it is not offered in the largest bag like Royal Canins other dog foods.

Works Great for my shih tzu

I started buying this food about 10 months ago. We were previously on a Royal Canin diet for food allergies. After a urinary test we were surprised to find crystals. After a repeated urinalysis we decided to change his diet to the multi-function. We have done multiple rechecks since the food switch and each time there were absolutely no crystals found in any of them. My shih tzu loves the food and it's the best nutrition I can provide for him.

Riley loves it!

Haven't had to have another surgery since switching to this food.

It has worked well for my 11 year old Dalmatian's combined urinary and digestive issues.
