10 years and still going strong

Just wanted to share my thoughts concerning Royal Canin German Shepherd food. My German Shepherd, Maiya, turned 10 years old in May 2018. Besides an occasional piece of rotisserie chicken or fresh turkey, she's been fed this specific breed food starting with puppy to adult. She gets a dental bone with each meal to help with teeth and gums. Her only other "treat" is a piece of chicken jerky; given once or twice per day. During her recent yearly vet check, she was given a clean bill of health! Her gums look great and she is showing no signs of arthritis. She has never had skin or food allergies, no digestive or sensitive stomach issues. Her coat is soft, shiny and looks healthy. Her only medication is the monthly heartworm chewable. Best of all, she loves this food!! I guess my only "issue" is that I have to be careful how much she eats per meal. I don't follow the recommended amount based on her weight; I had to cut it down a cup because she was gaining too much weight and not as active. Yes, you may pay more for this food, but for so far it's been proven to be worth every penny! I highly recommend this food.

Great product!

I tried several types of dog food for my German Shepard but this is the only one that does not cause him any stomach issues. I can tell when he has eaten something else (in the years!) because of how his stomach reacts. Not pretty!

My old German Shepard acted like a new dog. And he didn’t choke on the kibbles. I know research that has to be paid for is behind the food, but it really is very expensive when you have big dogs that eat multiple bags a month. Sometimes they have to get a bag of different food.i have recommended it to many people including the vet.

Great product!

My German Shepherd’s digestive problems have disappeared after 2 months on Royal Canin Breed Specific for German Shepherds. I wish I’d started her on this food sooner, because she is so much happier now.

Worth the Price

My German Shepherd Wilma is a little over a year old. She had my issues with digestion and sensitive stomach so we started her on this brand breed specific and she is doing great. She looks amazing too as her cost us shiny and gorgeous. It’s a bit costly compared to other brands but worth it for healthy dog.

Best Dog Food

We bought our first puppy and it was a German Shepherd. We first started him out on Purina pro plan. One day we were in a pet store and a guy was sampling some other brand and royal canon. He sets both kibble on the floor for our puppy to choose. Our puppy darted to the royal canin andwe never looked back. This was the only food he ever showed interest in and seemed to enjoy. Not only did our puppy love royal canin but i feel like it has been the healthiest choice for him too. Our friends have shepherds too but they are fed the purina and you can tell a huge difference in there weight and cost. We will for ever be royal canin buyers!
