Not great

My cat was prescribed this and was on it for nearly a year. He likes it. However after almost a year he started projectile vomiting every few days, there was always some undigested food in the mess. I had a weird feeling it may be this so I did a test and took it away and only fed his wet food. Vomiting gone. I’ve read other reviews, not on this site, that have said similar, so much so they have said their babies were near death, lethargic, very sick. The ingredient list has a lot of fillers in this. Something in there is not good. This is also very expensive, even so, I threw the remainder of the bag in the garbage and will not give my cat anymore. He is on a dif brand dry food and he has no issues.

Great product

I have one cat who has some type of skin allergies and we have been trying to try single protein diet food to see what works for him. I have two additional cats all three love this food.

I bought this for a food trial for my cat and never went back to her old food! All of my cats now eat this and they do so well on it!

Only Food My Siamese Can Eat

This is the only allergy food our Siamese cat can eat without breakouts. We've tried everything else and they all cause major issues. I don't know what we'd do if this food was not available for some reason. As a young cat from the time we adopted her she got crabby and had attitude issues and agression which we thought was "behavoir". Turned out she was miserable due to food allergies. With medication for the allergy and this food she maintains fine unless she gets into the food the other cats eat due to our error. Thank you to Royal Canin.

Really helped my cat!

My poor cat as a kitten had so many allergies to food. His food was changed by the vet so many times and finally this food was suggested. It made a world of difference and I love that they even have wet food in this product so he can also have a nice treat sometimes with the wet food

It works for my cat!

My senior cat Sadie developed GI issues a few years ago, likely IBD. In consultation with our vet, we tried a number of different diets without much success. In the meantime she was put on steroids which helped her symptoms but I did not want to keep her on them long-term. Thankfully once we tried the Selected Protein PR dry food, her symptoms began to clear up within 1-2 weeks, and I was able to take her off of the steroids. She has been doing well now for over 2 years and happily eats this food. Personally I think the smell is off-putting but she doesn't seem to mind. I'm very grateful we found something that works for Sadie.

My pet was placed on a special diet by my veterinarian and this food was prescribed. He loves it so much I actually have to hide the bag from him because he was chewing a hole into the side to get more!

Solved all of our problems!

Over 10 years ago oh, me and my children adopted a rescue kitten. She was just under 3 lb in was the runt of her litter. Our vet diagnosed her as failure to thrive but we weren't going to give up. She had developed severe allergies and was unable to gain weight. After much testing and sampling of different foods we determined that she was allergic to poultry. You would think that changing Foods would be the answer. However Milly was so allergic to poultry that she could no longer even sleep on my down comforter. Over a few months she then started pulling out her hair, develop hot spots, tried many different foods oh, and literally acted like she was in pain even limping sometimes because of the stores on her front paws. Along with allergies, she developed asthma and requires costly inhalers once a day. Just as we were about to try something else, our vet suggested Royal Canin rabbit and green pea good. It was extremely costly at the time a 8lb bag was $60. As a single mother of two children, it was pretty costly. But the results were well worth it. Within the first month she had gained 2 lb, her hair was growing back, she was much more playful and has a shiny thick coat of fur within the first few months. I cannot thank you enough for giving me my active playful kitten back. She is now doing well with her daily inhaler and her Royal Canin food. To this day she has continued on the same food which is now labeled Royal Canin PR which is the same limited ingredient food she has been on and the price at PetSmart is now up to $75. So I'm always looking for coupons from Royal Canin. I cannot be happier with this food. Millie is happy and most of all healthy as you can see from the pictures. She is living her best life thanks to you!

This is the only food that has worked for Kevin over the years. He has both food allergies/sensitivities and irritable bowel syndrome that cause him to vomit after ever meal, and this food resolved it! It was recommended to me by his dermatologist, and I am so glad that it was! He has been eating it for 3 years with no issues or intestinal upset. THANK YOU!!
